2 President s Message President s Message Hello Brothers and Sisters, Who would have believed that just as we enter Spring time, Temperatures would be hitting the upper 90s and low 100s already. We think its way too early for the heat. With the warmer weather coming soon, please drink lots of water especially if you work outside and stay cool. And where has this year gone. It is time for Nominations again on April 17 th for the Aerie. If you plan on running for office, turn in your letter to the Nominating Committee, Ray Young, Pete Mackinnon or Don McGee. The Auxiliary Nominations will take place April 24 th and your letter can be turned into the Nominating Committee, Vi Vanderhoff and Linda Kresl. We heard everyone had a great time on the Casino trip, although no big winners. Thank you to Alice, Harriet and Nance for putting this on. The Aerie By-Laws were approved by Grand. Thank you to the By-Law Committee for their hard work. Thank you to Pete and Deb and all involved in the March Charity, the D.D. Dunlap Kidney Fund. As we wind down the Charity of the month program, April is the final Charity for the current Eagle year. The Charity is the Judge Robert Hansen Diabetes Fund and your Chairperson s are Sean and Monica. Please come out and show your support and help raise money for the Diabetes Fund. As we are heading into the last 2 months with the current officers, we would like to thank all of you who did a great job during the year. You know who you are. Don t forget, Aerie Elections are May 1 st from 12-6pm and Auxiliary Elections will be May 8 th from 12-6pm. Come out and vote if you want your voice heard. 5 THE BLUES BROTHER S ARE BACK!! AERIE AND AUXILIARY NEWS! The Aerie will have Nominations for Offices for the upcoming year on Tuesday, April 17 th. If you are interested in running for office, you must turn in an acceptance letter to the Aerie Nominating Committee which is Ray Young, Pete MacKinnon and Don McGee. Auxiliary Nominations will be held on Tuesday, April 24 th. Please turn in your acceptance letter to the Auxiliary Nominating committee which is Vi Vanderhoff and Linda Kresl. Aerie Elections will be held on Tuesday, May 1 st, from 12-6pm. Auxiliary Elections will be held on Tuesday, May 8 th, from 12-6pm. Join us on April 14 th for a Steak Dinner with all the fixins from 5-7pm followed by the The Blues Brother s show staring none other then Jake and Elwood Blues. There will also be a 50/50 raffle that night. The show will start promptly at 8pm. So come on down and enjoy the Blues Brothers; Rhythm and Blues Review. Come early for a good seat. Dinner will be a $10.00 donation. All proceeds benefit the Diabetes Charity Fund. FROM YOUR SECRETARY S We would like to remind all of the Aerie and Auxiliary members that your membership dues are coming due in June. Please plan ahead to avoid being delinquent. You may pay for more then one year in advance. Thank you for your cooperation.

6 As we get ready for the summer time, which is usually a slower time of the year, its time to cut back on some of the kitchen activities. The Friday Night Fish Fry will end on May 18 th or earlier if no volunteers to help out. The last day for Tuesday Quickie Meals will be April 17 th. And the last Blue Plate Special will be April 26 th. Hamburger nights will continue along with a few Saturday night dinners. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to make these events successful through out the year. The Casino trip March 10th to Harrah's AK-CHIN was a lot of fun. We had 41 people, the weather was perfect and everyone had a good time. A big thanks to Harriet Fischer and Alice Pason for putting this trip together. Congratulations again to your Heart Fund Chairmen, Dave and Michelle Oliver for the money raised for the Heart Fund in February. Great Job everyone. See them for the totals. March turned out to be a great month for the D.D Dunlap Kidney Fund. A big thank you to everyone, including Sam and Little John, who helped out the Chairmen, Pete and Deb, through out the month. The Steak dinner was a huge success as we sold out. And don t forget about the St. Patrick s Day Party. The Corn Beef and Cabbage was great and the 50/50 raffle was one of the biggest in recent memory with the winner getting $161. The Music by the Vulturemine Band was great too with everyone dancing and partying and having a great time. From your Chairmen, Pete and Deb, thanks again for making this a successful month. More, including totals will be in the May newsletter. April is the final month of the Charity of the Month program. This months Charity is the Judge Robert Hansen Diabetes Fund. Sean and Monica are your Chairmen for the month and can use your help during the month. If you can help, please let them know. There will be a few events going on including the Easter Dinner and a Steak Dinner with the Blues Brothers show as well. Check your calendar.

In the evening, we will have a Ham dinner for $7.00 from 5-7pm followed by Music from American County, from 7-11pm. All proceeds benefit the monthly charity, the Robert W. Hansen Diabetes Fund.
