Commander's Corner Hi Peeps, I hope all had a great Thanksgiving Day. I kinda did, but when you've been sick for 5 weeks, it's hard to get in any mood, let alone a good one.

$The new drugs caused me to fall and fracture my skull along with a concussion. Another fall caused a broken rib. I now have no hearing in the left ear, my best side.$

2 Commander's Corner Hi Peeps, I hope all had a great Thanksgiving Day. I kinda did, but when you've been sick for 5 weeks, it's hard to get in any mood, let alone a good one. Our Calusa friends will be here on Dec. 12 at 1:00 and so will the calendar girls. Food, I can't help you there as I have been off the planet...at least it feels like I'm out there sometimes. Thanks to Steve Leyes and the SAL for sponsoring the Vets in November. For those who haven't been to the Post lately and haven't heard, the VA gave me new drugs for an infection. The new drugs caused me to fall and fracture my skull along with a concussion. Another fall caused a broken rib. I now have no hearing in the left ear, my best side. I hallucinate a lot and can't think rationally. Other than all that crap, I'm healthy. Oh yeah, I'd like to "Thank you " for the get well wishes on the card. If you have not renewed your dues yet, please do so before New Years Eve. No dues, no booze!!! I'd like to "thank" Thad for taking over for me in my absence. I have no idea when I can come out and play some more. Well, since my head still isn't right, I'll cut it off here. So everyone stay healthy and happy and I hope to see you soon. 3 American Legion Auxiliary Hello All... Thanks to everyone who came out and supported our Calousa Harbour Veterans! Especially the cooks, servers, set -up and clean- up crew! The Calousa Harbour Veterans will be here Saturday, December 12 th at 1pm. We will be serving ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans and roll for only $3.00. We will also have entertainment by the Calendar Girls. You don t want to miss their Christmas program! Please come and support these World War II and Korean Veterans and our post! Christmas dinner will be December 25th at 1pm. Sign up sheet for covered dishes are in the lounge area. A Huge Thank-You to the Men, Sal and everyone who donated items for our troops. Over $700 dollars worth of Christmas supplies will be shipped December 2 nd along with Christmas cards and veteran day cards! Mark your calendar for the Post 351 Christmas Party on December 20 th at 4pm. Finger foods will be served. We will have a booze raffle, 50/50 and music by Leo and Nettie. If you would like to volunteer for a function or just want to help out please contact Judy Crocker or one of our other officers. Together we can DO IT! It does not take a lot of time and the more volunteers we have the less amount of work it is for all of us! The 2016 membership cards are here! Please pay your dues ASAP! We are currently at 56%. We need to make 100% asap! Thank-you! Please attend our December 10 th Auxiliary meeting at 6pm. Your support and ideas are greatly appreciated! From our Legion family to yours Have a Merry Christmas and a Safe and Healthy New Year! Save those manufacturer coupons. The troops can use them up to 6 months after the expiration date. If you have any extra just bring them to the post. You don t even have to clip them. Save those pill bottles and tabs! Thank-you for all your support!
