2 Thank you for your interest in joining Poway Dance Project. We are a group of very talented and competitive dancers that perform at many school functions and competitions throughout the year. Please take a moment to look over the commitments associated with joining Poway Dance Project as there is a significant amount of dedication required. You will find all the information you need for the audition in this packet. Workshop: Dancers will learn various technique combos, a jazz and contemporary combo, and possibly a solo/improv if necessary Workshop will be held at Poway High School May 15 and 17, 3:30pm-6pm What to Bring to 1 st Day of Workshop: *Completed Application and Measurement Form *5x7 Photo *Clothing for jazz and contemporary *Jazz Shoes or half soles (preferably tan) *Hair pulled back in High Ponytail (no messy hair) Technical skills preferred for team: *Quad/Triple Pirouette (Left and Right) *Left, Right, and Center Leap *Turns in Seconde *Flexibility *Acrobatics (aerial, headspring, back handspring, walk over etc.) ALL TO BE PERFORMED WITH PROPER TECHNIQUE Auditions will be judged by a panel of 3 professional judges PLEASE NOTE!!! YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AUDITION WITHOUT A COMPLETED APPLICATION, PHOTO & MEASUREMENT FORM this includes returning dancers!!!

3 Performances/Activities *Summer Practice Select T/TH 3-6:00pm *Outside Summer Technique Classes Summer Master Class Series UDA Camp (Jul 30- Aug 2) USA Camp (Aug 2-5) Mandatory Competition Prep Camp (Aug 7-8) Mandatory Competition Prep Camp (Aug 14-17) *Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday -- time (earliest start time will be 3pm. Latest end time would be 8pm. Specifics will be announced once team is chosen and is dependent on which dances each dancer is cast in. Fall practice schedule will be much smaller than competitive season. *Pep Rallies *Home Football Games *Selected Home Basketball Games *PHS Winter Dance Festival and Clinic *Competitions *Spring Concert *3 outside technique classes for the team (including one ballet) **ALL CAMPS ARE REQUIRED *** Estimated Dance Expenses for the year $1,000 - $4,000+ I have read the information above and understand what is expected and required for all dancers.
