Main Cross Findlay, Ohio Business: The Friendliest Place in Town September/October 2016 Lodge News From Our GOVORNER, John Shearer Hello everyone and Welcome to Findlay Moose Lodge #698. Whether you are a new member, visitor, guest or a long time member and frequent patron, you are all a very important part of this fraternity. We here in Findlay have the privilege to belong to one of the best lodges anywhere. I believe that what makes our lodge so special are the members. But there would be no member s without some very special and important people. First of all, our office, it is the heart of the Lodge and without the diligents of our office staff we would surely flounder THANK YOU Jaci and Ruthie! Next our Board of Officers. We try to keep everything running within the guide lines of the General Laws. So if you have a question, complaint, or concern, Please submit it in writing and come to the meetings. Then there is the barstaff. As I have said many times before, they are THE BEST. Our kitchen staff works very hard to put out great food, quickly, and at a fair price. Our janitors are always working before and after hours to give us a clean comfortable environment. And we have many great volunteers, and could always use more. There are several party s being planned and we could always use your help. If you would like to help, contact me, John Shearer. There is one last group of people many of you don't know about, our Funeral Dinner Committee. What they do for our members in their time of need is awesome. Thank You Theresa Howard. She is always looking for help whether it be food donation or your help. If interested, again contact me. Men meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at 7:00pm. LEGION NEWS Moose Legion Breakfast are back starting Sunday, September 25th from 8am 11am. Ed Beers Plan on coming out the last Sunday every month to enjoy a TASTY BREAKFAST prepared by The Findlay Moose Legionnaires. The next Findlay Moose Legion Meetings will be held on Sunday, September 25th and Sunday, October 23rd at 2:00pm. If you are interested in joining the Moose Legion, contact any Moose Legionnaire for a application. Maumee Valley Moose Legion Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, October 9th at the Defiance Moose Lodge. Moose Legion Officers meet at 1:00pm and the Moose Legion General Meeting is at 2:00pm. We would like to THANK all those co workers who were able to attend the Conference and help with this endeavor. We would also like to thank Deb Frantz who chaired the Garage Sale and also everyone who donated items for the sale. We made $ which was sent to Moose Charities for the Moosehaven Centennial Project. Everything left over was donated to City Mission and Salvation Army. We will be holding bake sales in November and December, just in time for the holidays. We would appreciate donations of baked items for one or both of these bake sales. Dates have not yet been set but as soon as we have them, we will let you know. We encourage all women to come to our meeting to learn more about what we are all about! We all need to Congratulate Karol Smith on this wonderful Achievement! We are all very PROUD of you!
