To start off the night, Southport will be hosting the South Florida Science Museum from West Palm Beach for an Amazing Science STEAM Night from 5 until 7 pm in the cafeteria. They are coming to our school with the biggest, coolest science activities and experiments that you have ever seen! The museum is bringing a 3D Printer, Virtual Reality Sets, Lego Mindstorm Activities, Robots, Roller Coasters and much, much more! The Treasure Coast Beekeepers will also be here with a living bee hive! And the best part of all, it is free thanks to a generous donation from our favorite local pizza restaurant Hungry Howies! Beginning at 7pm students of the Southport Middle School Band will be performing at the annual Winter Concert. Under the direction of Bandmaster Jim LeBon, the Jazz Band, Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, and Advanced Band will feature music for the holidays along with music from classical, movie, popular, and jazz genres as they celebrate this most exciting time of the year. Parents are also invited to view students History Fair projects which will be on display from 5-7pm in the Media Center. So be sure to join us Tuesday, December 19th beginning at 5pm here at Southport! Southport student s Science Fair and Art exhibits will also be on display in the cafeteria. Our Mission To inspire and empower compassionate, global learners who are committed to creating a better and more peaceful world.
