Levels 1 3 are introductory levels which have Club Invitational or State Competitions. Level 1 3 may compete with any music (including with words), provided it is appropriate. Maximum routine length is 2 minutes. Levels 4 5 are compulsory levels as set out in the Levels System, performing Balance and Dynamic Routines, which have State and National events. A group that enters an event may change the structure of the group entered upon request if the circumstances are unavoidable, provided they follow the Reserve Replacement Rule as outlined in the GWA Events Policy. If acrobats have competed at a Qualifying Competition/State Team Trial in a particular level or division (trio or pair), the acrobats can apply to the ACR TC Gymnastics WA 2015 ACR Technical Regulations Page 7

8 to change their level or division due to extenuating circumstances. This request needs to be received by the TC prior to the event closing date. Exception: an acrobatic pair or group may move to a higher level within a year without seeking TC approval. However, it should be permitted that the acrobats will only be eligible to compete at a State Championships or Australian Championships if they meet the minimum qualification requirement National Levels The Levels System provides a standardised competitive structure and also serves as a valuable resource for coaches and judges. All acrobats participating in the Levels System must be registered members of their State Gymnastics Association. This includes all lower level participants. Whilst the scheme provides an overall development program for use by both coaches and acrobats, it is not intended to be the only source of reference for Acrobatic Gymnastics. Coaches should ensure that they are competent in the teaching of all acrobatic skills that they present to their acrobats. The Level System indicates a measure of competency at each level by the acrobats. Club coaches and judges should ensure that their acrobats demonstrate these levels of competency for the specified competition. The ACR Levels Manual details the skills/routines for the Levels and processes of assessment. The ACR Levels Manual is available from the GA Website Judging National Levels System Execution Artistry CJP Difficulty Beginner Levels 1-3 Intermediate Levels 4-5 Levels 1-5 Intermediate Bronze Levels 1-3 Levels 1-5 Advanced Levels 6-10 Levels 6-10 Advanced Silver Levels 4-10 Levels 6-10 FIG International Stream 8.4 General Competition Information Rules of Competition As per the: o o o o Most recent FIG Code of Points (the current version can be found on the FIG website) ACR Competition Handbook 2015 and beyond State Technical Regulations Tables of Difficulty (see FIG website) Gymnastics WA 2015 ACR Technical Regulations Page 8
