Friday, April 27 th 3:00 4:00 Suggested donation: $5 Donations accepted in advance at the front desk or at the door Hosted by the Seventh Grade Open to all ages Where: Hill School gym Shakespeare in the 'Burg returns to The Hill School for 2018 with performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream (April 7, 7:30 pm) and a champagne brunch followed by staged readings of winners of the international one-act playwriting competition (April 8, 11 am). Our New York acting company, Shakespeare in the Square, returns, and their performances will include music and talk backs with the actors. The Folger Shakespeare Library has made exhibits available from it's First Folio tour, which will add depth and interest to this event. For tickets, go to Tickets are $45 and $35.

Starting Tuesday, April 17th, Native Barre Studios will be offering 8-week workshops of children's dance classes s. For 4-6 year olds, Little Dancers is an introduction to the art of dance, full of fun, stories from classical ballets, and lessons in technique, poise, and confidence for the youngest dancers. For 5-8 years olds, Lyrical/ Jazz Dance is a fun introduction to modern dance styles, teaching new rhythms and moves while maintaining form and technique. These 8-week workshops are offered for $160. Register at under workshops. Our instructor, Faith has danced since age 5 and taught classes in ballet, creative movement, and more since age 16. Her training began in Virginia at Vostrikov's Academy of Ballet and continued at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle, PA and the Australian Dance Academy in Alice Springs, NT. She has danced with the Virginia Youth Ballet and the Duprada Dance Company, key roles including the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, Swanhilda in Coppelia, and Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty. Since returning to the United States Fatih teaches at several studios as a guest and regular instructor.
