ROBERT BOSTIC WILL DISCUSS THE DISTRICT STRATEGIC VISION, TITLED VISION 20/20 THERE WILL BE FREE PIZZA AND REFRESHMENTS. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND, AS LONG AS THEY ARE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN.

5 SUPER SENIOR 55+ BREAKFAST We would like to invite you to the Stafford MSD Super Senior 55+ Breakfast at 8:30 a.m next Friday (October 27) at Stafford High School. Enjoy a delicious breakfast and learn about Stafford MSD. Tomorrow s spotlight will include a special welcome from Stafford MSD Superintendent Dr. Robert Bostic. The next breakfast will be Nov. 10, followed by Dec. 8.

8 HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME TONIGHT The Stafford High Football Team has the Best Defense in Fort Bend County, allowing just 247 yards per game. The Spartans (2-4, 1-2) have a chance to earn their record sixthconsecutive playoff appearance. That quest begins in tonight s Homecoming Game vs. Brazosport (4-2, 2-1) at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Spartan Stadium. The Homecoming King & Queen will be announced during halftime of tonight s game, and the SHS Band will perform after the game. The game will be a Pink Out in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

10 SHS BAND TO COMPETE AT UIL ON SATURDAY The Stafford High Band has a school-record 220 members this year, including 32 seniors. The Band will perform after tonight s Homecoming Football Game, and then they ll compete at the UIL Meet at 3:15 p.m. Saturday at El Campo High School in El Campo. They re looking to earn Sweepstakes for the NINTH STRAIGHT YEAR. Here is a preview video of the Band s Upcoming Performance:

11 HOMECOMING WEEK STAFFORD MSD STUDENTS & STAFF HAVE ENJOYED HOMECOMING WEEK 2017 WITH EVENTS SUCH AS THE PARADE, THE PEP RALLY AND THE TAILGATE PARTY!

12 ADMINISTRATION SUPPORTS AG PROGRAM Members of the Stafford MSD Administration Team purchased animals and livestock from our Stafford Agriculture/FFA Program. They made these purchases out of their own pocket. On Tuesday, they held a reception to honor the collaboration between Administration and students in the program.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and learn about Stafford MSD. Tomorrow s spotlight will focus on the District s Bilingual and Dual Language Immersion Programs. This is the second-to-last Super Senior Breakfast of The final one will be on Friday, May 12.

15 SCHOOL MEALS FREE IN OCTOBER STAFFORD MSD RECEIVED THE APPROVAL FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO PROVIDE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR ALL CHILDREN 18 YEARS OLD AND UNDER FREE OF CHARGE. THE WAIVER IS EFFECTIVE THROUGH OCTOBER 31.

16 STAFFORD GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY QUALIFIES FOR REGIONALS CONGRATULATIONS TO THE STAFFORD HIGH GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM UNDER QUALIFYING FOR THE UIL REGIONAL MEET IN CORPUS CHRISTI ON MONDAY (OCTOBER 23) THE LADY SPARTANS FINISHED IN THE THE TOP THREE AT THE DISTRICT MEET ON TUESDAY IN BROOKSHIRE.

17 STAFFORD TENNIS QUALIFIES FOR REGIONALS THE STAFFORD HIGH TENNIS TEAM QUALIFIED FOR THE REGIONAL TOURNAMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MORE THAN A DECADE. THE SPARTANS WILL PLAY AT WHARTON AT 3:30 P.M. ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 24.

19 HOMECOMING EVENTS NEXT WEEK Stafford MSD will host its Homecoming Parade at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 18. On Friday, October 20, the Stafford High Volleyball Team will play its final home match of the season at 5 p.m. against Bellville. Following that match, the Stafford High Football Team will host Brazosport at 7:30 p.m. The Homecoming King & Queen will be announced at halftime of the game.
