1 Dear Volunteers, Epworth Children s Home Cottage Partner Volunteer Epworth is looking forward to scheduling your visits for the remaining 2012 calendar year. Please feel free to complete the online activity request form for all upcoming cottage partner visits. Epworth is thankful for your willingness to serve and would like to give you this opportunity to plan your upcoming campus events and activities before the calendar is full August- Host a back to school bash with outdoor games, a cook out, or shopping trip for your cottage September- Attend The Columbia Greek Festival for lunch or dinner Host a dinner and a movie on campus Friday Night Tailgate at ECH- Cheer the Dreher High School Blue tickets to the games *Attached is a football schedule for the Dreher High School Football Team October- Host a Halloween cottage decorating party for your cottage Each year at Halloween the entire campus competes for the most spooktacular cottage Take part in shopping with the cottage for Halloween Costumes Our children will be able to wear their Halloween costumes to our campus Halloween Carnival Take part in the South Carolina State Fair November- Plan a trip to Riverbanks Zoo to seee the Lights Before Christmas Host a small Thanksgiving dinner December- Host a Christmas decorating party for your cottage. Come out and show your holiday spirit by decorating the exterior of the cottage. Join us for The Epworth Christmas Pageant and Dinner- Date and Time TBA- **Please Beth Caskey at bcaskey@epworthsc.org to RSVP for the event. Devils to victory by hosting a tailgate. Join the cottage by sponsoring season

Susan Culler Epworth Basketball Games Prepare dinner with the cottage- please be as self sufficient as possible. Fire regulations prohibit any surface frying Karaoke Party Birthday Parties Devotion/Bible Study Game Night Field Day Bike Riding Meal in the dining hall We also would like for you to consider hosting events on days when the children may be out of school. *** Attached is a calendar for the Richland One School District Please know that as a volunteer, we are eager to hear of any suggestions you may have in hopes to provide the best possible events and activities for our children. 9 Epworth Children s Home Activity Request Form Any group or individual requesting to schedule an event/activity with residents of Epworth Children s Home must complete this form and meet the following requirements: 1. The individual or group leader(s) must be preapproved through Epworth s Volunteer Certification Program to work with residents. If you are unsure contact the Volunteer Coordinator for more information. 2. Individuals or group leader(s) must be 21 years of age or older. 3. Form must be completed and returned to Epworth Children s Home s Volunteer Coordinator one month before the event/activity date requested. (Completion of this form does not guarantee the event/activity will be approved. You will be contacted when a decision is made.) Epworth considers all requests based on several factors including scheduling conflicts in regards to the time and availability of residents and transportation. In addition, the appropriateness of the event for the age group and for the overall program is considered.
