3 GARDEN GUARDIANS The Garden Guardians need gumboots! The children all have turns working in the gardens. Each class gets to work in the gardens one classroom per week. They do a lot of digging, wheel barrow work, watering, cleaning, carrying, weeding, harvesting, washing produce, cooking and planting. They work VERY hard! They need foot protection to do so. We have tried to rely on them remembering to bring their own but that failed so Niki did bring in her families boots but they got filled with water, mud n stuff and Niki got complaints from home. So the kids need their own! Could anyone who have good condition children's gumboots to spare, donate them to the school garden guardians? If you do please leave them at the office or with Mr Barker and the Garden Guardian leaders will collect them. Thank you from all the Garden Guardians! PTA POST Maungaturoto Primary School Pet Day & Gala Saturday 18 th October 2014 September A packet of food (e.g. a packet of coffee or a packet of cereal) & a packet of lollies October A bottle of food or drink (for raffle & bottle in a barrow stall) and an article of clothing for the 2nd hand clothing stall Please check best before dates on all items.

The purpose of the fundraiser is to raise funds for next years camp costs. One of the organisers of the evening, Jo Jury, from the Matakohe School Parent Support Group is expecting a great turnout. This is the first time we have had a Comedy Hypnosis Show and it promises to be a fun filled evening for all. Tickets are on sale now for $25 which includes supper and a cash bar will be available. Nigel Kennedy is New Zealand s very own Las Vegas trained Stage Hypnotist. This is a truly unique show that will leave you aching with laughter! Audiences can expect to see hypnotised participants become the stars of the show, will you be next???? Any person who wants to be hypnotised can make a great volunteer, says Nigel. Nobody is forced to participate on stage. The traditional hypnotic show in the past was humour at the expense of the audience members, but during my show I highlight the talents and creativity of the volunteers. I don t embarrass them and I don t even let them embarrass themselves. The hypnosis show combines the fun of total audience participation with the incredible abilities of the mind. Get a group together and make a night of it, this will be a great adults night out that you will not want to miss!
