Club will ask for sign-ups via /Remind/Facebook 5. Coach s Report: Coach Swallie a. Tryouts start Mon 2/18/19 9am to 12noon i. Coach to meet with team Thursday 2/7/19 to discuss tryouts b. Middle School tryouts TBD will get info out as soon as available i. Probably around 3/1/19; kids should listen to morning announcements c. Schedule for tryouts/practices/games on Canvas d. Game schedule also on Club website e. Coach Geiss (pitching coach) left for another position i. Luke Smith (Davidson grad/ashland pitcher) will take over Pitching Coach duties f. Spring Break Trip Bowling Green, TN (Mon 3/25/19 thru Thurs 3/28/19) i. Still waiting for Louisville Slugger Museum costs 1. some funds from 8 th grade basketball concessions for this ii. Nothing else new to report iii. Club confirmed Sub Sale end of April to go towards Spring Trip expenses 1

Wildcat Classic Summer Tournament i. T. Miller updated both age groups full 1. Deadline for payment of fees 3/1/19 ii. Field usage HD Varsity/Freshman and Weaver Coach approved iii. Darby coach currently said no to use of Shaw 1. Will need to adjust schedule, # of teams, etc. iv. L. Blevins will schedule umpires for the tournament v. Will use Tourney Machine to track tournament vi. Coach will also look into $100/facilities charge; may use Port-A-Pots vii. Tourney t-shirts will be pre-order only (thru Powell Prints) viii. T. Miller will look into concessions b. Scholarship Committee A. Altman updated group on new format i. Allow up to $2,000 available to distribute among all qualified candidates ii. A. Continue to hold off on card and gift from club for now 1. will explore again in the summer ii. May start up Meal Train again in the future 1. this has proven to be a huge help to family f.
