2 STEPS AND GUIDELINES The following information is for all performing groups; specific guidelines are noted as needed: SUBMIT ALL OF YOUR APPLICATION MATERIALS AT LEAST TWO MONTHS (8 WEEKS) PRIOR TO YOUR REQUESTED PERFORMANCE DATE. Applications can be accepted up to one year in advance of your requested performance date. COMPLETE A PERFORMANCE APPLICATION FOR EACH GROUP AUDITIONING. NO APPLICATION FEE FOR THE INITIAL GROUP. For multiple performances, or if you have more than one group in one of the following disciplines (band, orchestra, vocal, or dance) applying for separate performances, copy and submit a separate Performance Application, along with a $50 application fee for each additional group s performance. This fee is not necessary if you have multiple groups from different disciplines (such as a band and an orchestra). The additional group(s) will not be scheduled until 6 weeks prior to the performance date of your first group. If your additional group(s) are not selected, then the $50 application fee is refundable. Make checks payable to Disney Destinations, LLC. SUBMIT A NON-RETURNABLE DVD OF A PERFORMANCE THAT IS LESS THAN ONE YEAR OLD. This DVD (no excerpts, please) should be representative of the actual number of performers that would be performing, and feature selections typical of the group s proposed performance at the Walt Disney World Resort. Please place your video camera close enough so that specific movements of the group can be easily and clearly seen, but far enough away to capture the whole group at one time. Please avoid close-ups and individual performer shots. Promotional videos and adjudication videos are not acceptable. (Please label the DVD with the group s name, the director s name, and the director s telephone number.) Marching Bands Provide two complete selections of your choice parade performances preferred. Orchestras and Concert Bands Provide two selections of your choice. Jazz Bands Provide two complete big band jazz charts. Choral Groups Provide two complete selections of your choice. Dance Ensembles, Drill Teams, Theatre Ensembles and other performing groups Provide at least two complete up-tempo, highenergy numbers that show ALL participants and ALL groups that will be performing. Please list artist and song title of audition selections. SUBMIT A NON-RETURNABLE, COLOR PHOTOGRAPH OF THE UNIFORMS/COSTUMES TO BE WORN DURING YOUR PERFORMANCE. (NO LARGER THAN 8 X 0) The photograph must show the entire uniform/costume/robe. Please label the photograph on the back with the group s name, the director s name, and the director s telephone number. Bands and Choral Groups Costumes/uniforms/robes should be the same or consistent to a theme, clean, and well-maintained. Proper footwear is required, and must be the same style. Jeans, T-shirts, tank tops, shorts and athletic attire must be pre-approved by the Disney Performing Arts office. Mascots or recognizable character costumes are not permitted. Dance Ensembles & Drill Teams Costumes and uniforms should be the same or consistent to a theme, clean, well-maintained and tasteful in nature. Please make sure your audition materials are complete and reflect the best possible representation of your group. Groups cannot be considered until all materials have been received. All Audition Videotapes and DVDs Are Evaluated By Walt Disney Entertainment. Selection For Participation In Disney Performing Arts Is Based On Your Group s Ability To: Play or sing musically and in tune. Present selections that best exemplify the group s precision and execution. Perform with energy and exhibit a confident stage presence. 4 DISNEY PERFORMING ARTS MAGIC YOUR WAY PACKAGES All performers are required to purchase one of the Disney Performing Arts Magic Your Way Packages listed below. Tickets will be valid for use only during the group's stay. A performance or workshop requires the use of one Theme Park Admission on that day (excluding performance at the Waterside Stage at Downtown Disney ), however your group can enjoy the Theme Parks before and after your event. Prices valid for groups performing between January, 0 and December, 0. TAX-EXEMPT GROUPS: To take advantage of tax exempt pricing, an Organization must: Pay with the Organization's credit card, the Organization's check or a cashier's check (the check must include the Organization's name as the remitter); and Attach a valid Florida State Tax Exempt Certification to the Ticket Order AND show a copy of the Florida State Tax Exempt Certificate at pick-up. OTHER INFORMATION: The above Packages are available only through December, 0 to organized performance groups of 0 or more, and must be reserved in advance. The prices and other terms and conditions of the Packages are subject to change at any time before we accept your order. Use of, or participation in, certain activities/events in the theme parks and attractions require the payment of additional charges. Tickets are not valid for special or premium events or other activities which are separately priced. Tickets and all other Package components must be used by the same person on any and all days. Chaperones for children under age 0 are required for selected parks and attractions. 5 DISNEY PERFORMING ARTS CODE OF CONDUCT STANDARDS, POLICIES AND REQUIREMENTS The following standards, policies and requirements are applicable to all schools/organizations with groups that perform at the Walt Disney World Resort (the Resort ) pursuant to the Disney Performing Arts Program: 5 6 The performing group and its directors/leaders, members, chaperones and supporting personnel will respect and follow the directions of Disney s Guest Talent Coordinator. The directors/leaders and chaperones for the performing group must be at least years of age; follow the same policies, procedures and requirements applicable to the performing group s members; and actively supervise the performing group s members. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and its affiliated companies ( Disney ) will have no responsibility to supervise the performing group s members. The directors/leaders, chaperones and other supporting personnel for the performing group will be positive role models for the performing group s members and encourage a professional attitude by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all of its members, chaperones and other support personnel. Persons attending, watching or learning of the Disney Performing Arts performance will expect that all aspects of this performance be in good taste and of the highest quality, consistent with Disney s reputation and image (the Disney Standard ). The school/organization must ensure that, at all times during their performance and visit, the members of its performing group and its directors/leaders, chaperones and other support personnel maintain a professional demeanor (e.g., no inappropriate language or horseplay) and adhere in all respects to the Disney Standard and otherwise use the Resort in a safe, appropriate and careful manner, in compliance with all policies and procedures established by Disney and all applicable laws, rules and regulations. In particular, without limiting the foregoing, the performance and other activities of the performing group and its directors/leaders, members, chaperones and other support personnel must comply with all such policies and requirements as Disney may establish, in its sole discretion, for such activities and the use of the Resort, including, without limitation, no smoking policies and dress/attire policies. Disney has the right to approve or disapprove in its sole discretion all entertainment, programmed activities, scenery, costumes, attire and other aspects of the performing group at the Disney Performing Arts performance. The performing group will give the best performance it can so that it can be proud of its success and accomplishments. Disney reserves the right to cancel participation and/or performance by any performing group at any Disney Performing Arts Program for any reason, including, without limitation, failure by that performing group or its directors/leaders, members or other support personnel to comply with the standards, policies or other requirements listed above or any other action deemed inappropriate by Disney. The school/organization named below agrees that, if in Disney s sole discretion the school/organization s performing group named below is selected or otherwise permitted to perform at any Disney Performing Arts Program, the school/ organization will ensure that the school/organization s performing group and its directors/leaders, members, chaperones and other support personnel comply in full with all of the standards, policies and requirements listed above under this Code of Conduct Standards, Policies and Requirements.
