2 Welcome to Wilson Hall's summer program, Above and Beyond! For the summer of 2019 we have planned a program that continues our most popular camps while adding a variety of new programs. We hope that we have designed summer opportunities that meet a broad spectrum of interests. Our goal is to offer campers a fun and caring environment where they can discover new talents, enhance present skills, and allow friendships to flourish. We also hope that camps reach Above and Beyond expectations you have for an unbelievable summer. Whether you are a Baron, a visitor to the Sumter area, or a student from another school, please join us. We'll be waiting for you! Camps run from Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday, unless otherwise indicated. The times of the camps are also given in the individual descriptions. registration and payment: Registration forms and payments are due by Friday, May 17th. Checks should be made payable to Wilson Hall. One check may be written for all camps, or you can now pay through your Renweb account; however, you must complete a registration form for each child participating. cancellations and refunds: Fees may be refundable for cancellations on or before Friday, May 24th. After May 24th fees are refundable only in extreme or unusual circumstances which are to be determined by the school. There will be no prorating of fees for student absences or partial attendance. In the case of cancellation due to lack of enrollment, a full refund will be provided.

This camp includes instruction in basic basketball skills, including passing, dribbling, shooting and individual drills. Everyone will participate in daily contests and will have the opportunity to play in games. rising 2nd - rising 5th June 3-6 (mon. - thurs.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 85 girls BasketBall camp Instructor: glen rector, Head coach, Varsity Girls Basketball This camp is designed for players who want to improve their individual fundamentals and team skills. Specific areas of concentration will be ball handling, shooting, motion offensive skills and more.. rising 3rd - rising 6th June 3-6 (mon. - thurs.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 85 rising 7th-rising 10th June (mon. - thurs.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 85 elementary soccer Instructor: sumter soccer club This week-long camp will be focused on the development of soccer skills for your player. This camp will grow your player s ability to control the ball and play the world s greatest game. Beyond basic skills, players will learn concepts of offensive and defensive game tactics and group play. They will be given the opportunity to train their individual skills and apply them to the game setting each day. rising 3rd-rising 6th June (mon. - fri.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 120 Junior soccer Instructor: sumter soccer club Let s get kicking! Through the use of stories, games, and other fun activities your child will learn basic skills like dribbling, shooting, and passing. Players will receive individual and group-based instruction to make sure they are ready for their next season. This week-long camp will be held at Spencer Field at Wilson Hall. rising kindergarten-rising 2nd June (mon. - fri.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 120 all-sports camp 1 Instructor: meg Brogdon Hill, WH Graduate Get ready for an exciting All-Sports Camp!!! Campers will enjoy basketball, kickball, dodgeball, and much more! All while working together and learning team sportsmanship. rising kindergarten-rising 1st July 8-11 (mon. - thurs.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 85 cheerleading Instructor: lindy Watford, Head Cheerleader We ve got SPIRIT yes, we do! Learn to build your skills, lead a crowd and support your home team! Campers will enjoy learning cheers and proper hand and body movements, making banners, face painting and tumbling, and much more! The week will end with a high-spirited choreographed dance performance at a pep rally! rising kindergarten-rising 2nd June (mon.-fri.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 110 girls VolleyBall camp Instructor: rip ripley, Head coach, Varsity Girls Volleyball Volleyball is one of the most popular sports in the world and campers can learn all the moves during this camp. Players will learn techniques, offense skills, and defense skills, along with strategy and scoring rules. Join us for a fun and valuable week. Location: Cross Trail Farm, 2688 Raccoon Road, Mayesville, SC advanced June 4-6 (tues. - thurs.) 9:00am-11:30 pm fee 150 equestrian 2 Instructor: mandy Beasley, WH Equestrian Team Attention Beginner equestrians: Giddy up, let s go! Come join the equestrian team for a fun time of horsing around. There will be basic riding instruction provided by the team members. The campers will be doing crafts and games each day. It s time to show off your skills and fly on over; you are sure to have a thrill. 5 WizarDing WorlD camp Instructor: ann Blodzinski, WH Parent Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts fans, be ready for an amazing week as we transform Wilson Hall into Hogwarts! All campers/muggles will get their acceptance letter to Hogwarts and join a Hogwarts house. We ll craft our wands and wizard gear to join in games and activities throughout the week. Everyone will graduate from Hogwarts on Friday at our Potter Party! rising 2nd-rising 5th July (mon. - fri.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 130 lego camp 1 & 2 Instructor: Jeanna mahr, WH Parent Come join the fun: build, create, learn, and play! Students will have an entire week to be creative, learn basic engineering skills, use their imagination, and have a great deal of fun. Campers will use LEGOS to create various projects which include pulleys, gears, motors, and simple machines. We will sew and craft some Wonderland fashions, create art projects for our Mad Hatter Tea Party, and play games and activities even the Queen of Hearts would love. rising kindergarten-rising 3rd June (mon. - fri.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 130 Jump start to first grade Instructor: amy Jones, WH K5 Teacher Put on your detective hats and come join the fun! Rising first graders will become detectives for a week. Using their observation skills, students will discover the mysteries of Wilson Hall. They will explore the Wilson Hall campus including the lower school playground, the cafeteria, the first-grade building, and much more. Campers will be introduced to a variety of daily routines to ensure a smooth transition and enjoy unlocking the mysteries of reading and math activities. Give your first grader the jump start that will ensure a great first grade experience. rising 1st July (mon. - fri.) 9:00am-12:00pm fee 110 Survival Camp Instructor: Blain schumacher, WH Head of Security Set your kid s imagination and adventurous spirits free as they learn about the natural environment and the important skills of survival; shelter, water, fire, and food. No matter what your child s background is, from never having camped before to the most experienced nature enthusiast, he or she will have a BLAST at this camp. This is an evening to spend with your child creating beautiful art together. Your canvases will be ready to take with you after class. All materials and supplies included all ages June 17 (mon.) 6:00pm-8:00pm 35 an individual or 65 for two EvENiNg pottery painting Instructor: tara schumacher, WH Art Teacher Families will gather together to glaze pre-made ceramic pieces. Each individual will make their own beautiful pottery, while having a great family art experience. All materials and supplies included. Artwork will take 48 hours to return. all ages June 18 (tues.) 6:00pm-8:00pm 45 for an individual or 85 for two SWEEt CrEatioNS Camp Instructor: kelly Dodson, WH Parent Sweeten your child's week with a custom cake decorating class! They will imagine it, sketch it, create it and then take it home to show off and share their yummy treats. We will start with cupcakes and end with a one-of-a-kind cake creation that they will be proud of.
