High School Girls Track- outdoor track practice will start on February 25- pick up a packet in the office if you are interested. JH Boys Basketball: Please get your practice and game jerseys to Mr. Holden ASAP. Make sure they are washed! HS Wrestlers: All wrestling uniforms/equipment must be turned in by Feb. 19 th. HS Students: Please pay your $10 class dues to your Class Treasurer by February 28 th. Class Treasurers: Seniors: Michael Kriegel Juniors: Mali Pacheco Sophomores: Eric Cadden Freshman: Kayden Heishman. Seniors: Please submit you senior picture by April 2019 to the Yearbook staff. Open gym/open pool will be held from 1-4 on Sundays in January and February. The cost is $1. Nonswimmers and kindergarten and below must be accompanied by an adult. Please use high school doors. Seniors: Farm Bureau Scholarship Applications are in the HS Office. Please check your for more information. An was also sent to your parents regarding this scholarship. Yearbook Sales- You can go to JostensYearbooks.com to order your yearbook online, or have your student pick up an order form in the office. If paying with an order form, make checks payable to BGM Yearbook. Thanks BackPack Program Forms are in the HS office for any students who may want them. This program assists students that might be short on food during the weekend. If you have any questions, call or Mr. McWilliams. rmcwilliams@brooklyn.k12.ia.us Mark your calendars, the end of the year WRESTLING banquet will be Monday, March in the high school cafeteria. All levels are invited as well as parents. Eating will begin at 6pm and awards/recognitions will follow. 2 **VOTE FOR SCOTT TIBBETTS!** The I AM SPORT Award is a contest created to honor high school student athletes who are committed to giving back to the youth in their communities. The voting period begins January 22, 2019 at 11:59 am EST and runs through March 5, 2019 at 11:59 am EST. You may vote once per day. The three nominees who garner the highest number of votes will be contacted via by March 19, 2019 and invited to attend the Des Moines Register Sports Awards where they will walk the red carpet, find out if they won, and celebrate with other local nominees. The winner will be announced live and called to the stage to receive their trophy. (You have to have our Brooklyn telephone service) Forms must be turned into our office by March 12 th at 5 pm. We will draw a name first thing on Wednesday, March 13 th. The student must fill out the application themselves, except where it says for the Parent/Guardian to sign.
