1 The girls golf team had a dual meet record of 4-2 and finished second overall in the Badger South. They beat Madison Edgewood (2017 State runner-up Division 2) for only the second time in program history, finished second in the Stoughton Scramble, second at Regionals (qualified as a team for sectionals) and won the WI Dells Invitational. Caylie Kotlowski was second-team all-conference and finished sixth overall in the Badger South in scoring average. As we head into our State meet this Friday ( ) Stoughton Swimming has rewritten half of the school record board. Six new school records were broken at Sectionals, some of which have been standing longer than the swimmer has been alive. Seven events have qualified for State, the most at once in school history. State Qualifiers are: Abbie Kooima, Maddie Kooima, Sofia Bormett, Evelyn Schaefer, Ava Schigur and Amy Schlicht. All of these girls had a part in one or more of the school records.

2 Our Season started in July with Universal Cheerleading Association Skills and Resort Camp. The squad took home the Gatorade Most Improved award for our time at camp. We earned 2 gold Excellence awards for our Spirit Evaluation and Game Day Evaluation. We were also able to accomplish a great deal of stunting achievements, such as an array of pyramid skills and the foundational liberty. Each individual on the squad maintained a B average as well. The Varsity Dance Team had a great fall season, performing on the sidelines and at halftime of all the home varsity football games. The team had fun performing during the Homecoming pep assembly with the Varsity Football players. Currently the Dancers are busy preparing for their winter competitions and game schedule. Their first competition will be in Watertown on Saturday, December 9th!

3 The 2017 Girls CC team had an amazing year. We had 30 girls run for the team. We had the most successful season by far in relation to how we placed in meets. The girls placed first at Watertown Invite, Madison West Invite, and Badger Challenge. They were Badger Conference Champions for the third year in a row, placed second at sectionals and placed 13th at the State Meet in Wisconsin Rapids. Anna Wozniak and Grace Jenny were our MVP, Molly Olstad was our most improved runner and Maddie Schneider was the Rookie of the year. We had 13 girls that earned a letter this season. The Stoughton Boys Cross Country team went through a rebuilding year after graduating its top three runners from the 2016 season. However, the boys did have some success. The varsity team placed in the top half of all competing teams in half of their meets. The JV team was in the top half of all teams in all of their meets. Seven runners were able to break the 18:30 mark for a 5k this season. The varsity team was 6th in Conference while the JV team placed 4th. The number of runners on the team was up 15% from the 2016 season.

4 The 2017 Varsity Girls Tennis Team finished the year with an 8-9 dual record overall and a 4-3 conference dual record. The team finished in 4th place in the Badger South Conference out of 8 teams. The season was highlighted by a 2nd place finish at Sectionals by #4 singles player Annika Goetz and by the #1 doubles team of Stacy Benoy and Ashley Fisher qualifying for the State Tournament. Varsity Volleyball went 20-10, finishing 4th in Conference. Some highlights were: wins against Oregon, Verona and DeForest; winning the Wilmot Tournament; and beating Edgewood twice! We won regional semi's and then lost to Westosha Central in the Regional Final match. The girls improved a lot as a team and as individuals, and we had lots of fun!

5 The Boys' Soccer team finished the season with a 12 and 12 record and a third place finish in conference. The team had fantastic wins over Beloit Memorial, Edgewood and Milton. The third place finish was the best place in many years, giving the team incentive to place even higher in conference next year. Football finished the season 9-2 overall and 6-1 in conference. We won our first playoff game ever in school history over Oregon. We faced a lot of adversity this year and our guys did a great job staying focused on the task at hand. We had 22 seniors on our team this year and we will miss all of them next year. They were a great group of kids to coach and showed our underclassmen how to be successful. They worked hard all year, and we are really excited about next year with the Juniors and Sophomores we have coming back.
