VARSITY FOOTBALL TONIGHT VS RUTHERFORD GAME WILL BE PLAYED AT BOZEMAN KICK-OFF AT 7 PM 5th in a row! Another District Championship for Seahawk Volleyball! Last night they defeated a powerful Pensacola Catholic team in an exciting 5-set match. Many thanks to everyone who made the trip to Pensacola to cheer on the ladies. You made a difference. Next week s Region Quarterfinal will be on Wednesday at SWHS vs Marianna at 6:00 PM. FHSAA mandated ticket price is $7.00. It s time to register for the December 2nd SAT that will be given at SWHS. Registration ends November 3rd. If you are on free or reduced lunch you may qualify for a fee waiver. Please see the Guidance Counselor. If you qualify for a fee waiver you may also qualify to apply for a fee waiver for up to 4 college applications. See Ms. Sneed for information.

Another award for Jordan Nichols! Jordan has been selected to represent the Walton County School District as our nominee for the Academic U. S. Presidential Scholar. Jordan was chosen for his exceptional SAT and ACT scores. He will be competing for this award with students from every state in the nation. Cody Hill, Scott Giuliano, Jackson Weatherall and Kyler Long Both Boys and Girls Golf finished runner-up in districts and will compete in the Region Championship on Tuesday in Tallahassee. Marie Brauer, Morgan Sanders, Maia Billman and Grace O Hare Spotlight on Colleges Florida Gulf Coast University boasts one of the highest graduate employment rates among the state s universities. 80% of classes are taught by full-time faculty. 3 Creative corner BROUGHT TO YOU BY Mrs. Reilly s Creative writing class A Rainbow s Truth By Fiona Morris A rainbow with only a red stripe might be angry; angry that all his other friends are off playing in the sky without him An orange stripe without his friends might feel afraid; afraid that all his other friends have disappeared and left him alone A yellow stripe without her friends might feel pride; pride that she's the only one you see A green stripe without his friends might feel lonely; lonely because no one is there to talk to A blue stripe might feel cold; cold because all her other friends aren't there to warm her A purple stripe without his friends might feel shy; shy that all the attention was on him A pink stripe in the sky might feel glad and hopeful; glad and hopeful that he was finally seen A rainbow isn't one color. One color might think they mean nothing if they re in the sky alone. One person might be like that single strip of color. Don't let that person be angry, afraid, cocky, lonely, cold, shy. Let them be the pink. Let them be full of happiness that someone noticed them. Daniel Leuze, Taylor Collier, Katie Pickers and Aniston Grabowski were some of the Leadership students who attended the Child Clothing event at the Destin Target store this week. 4 Sports Next Week Tuesday, October 24 Girls and Boys Golf Region Tournament in Tallahassee Wednesday, October 25 Cross Country District Championship at Milton / 8:00 AM Volleyball Region Quarterfinal at Home vs Marianna / Time TBA Friday, October 27 Varsity Football at Home vs Bozeman Senior Night / 7:00 PM End of Semester Exams will be given on December 15th, 18th and 19th. If a student is absent on those days, they will take exams on January 2nd. Exams will not be given early to avoid compromising the validity and integrity of the exams.
