4 Ronald McDonald House Charities Grissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than $40,000 from this program. A collection box will be in the Commons for your donations! Schmidt as their winning title. Don t forget.you can still take Caudill tests for prizes through Friday, April 6th!

7 Grissom Gives Back Tickets for the Grissom Gives Back fundraising volleyball games are available now for $3 in the Media Center. The games will be played on Friday, March 16 th at 5:30 pm here at Grissom. Tickets will also be sold next week during all lunches. A limited number of tickets are available. Don t miss out! All proceeds go to the Kirby Educational Foundation.

15 6 th /7 th Girls Volleyball The Patriots defeated Century in the SWIC tournament on Saturday! It was an outstanding team effort! The Lady Patriots will play Palos in the semifinals on Thursday.

16 Track Tryouts Tryouts for Track will be on Tuesday, March 20 th and Wednesday, March 21 st from 3:15-4:30 pm for all runners. Shot put tryouts will be held the week after Spring Break on Thursday, April 5 th. Permission forms are in the rack outside the Main Office. 17 Music in Our Schools Month Did you know that March is Music in Our Schools month? Come celebrate music with us TONIGHT! 19 Soccer Tryouts Tryouts for girls soccer will be held Monday, March 12 th and Wednesday, March 14 th at Millennium. Students trying out will be bussed to Millennium, but you must get your own transportation home. Tryout permission forms are in the rack outside the office and are due Friday, March 9th. 21 Crayola ColorCycle Students and teachers will soon be collecting used markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more! Boxes will be located in the Commons. The Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year! 26 Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we ve saved 7,049 bottles from landfills! The image part w the file.
