4 Attention Juniors! Your class shirts are in! Please come by B200 at Step today to pick them up! If you still want to buy a shirt, you may be in luck we have a few extras. The cost is still $10.

5 If you ordered a homecoming shirt, stop by " and see Ms. Young on Thursday after school. Only people who paid for a shirt will receive one. If there are extras, that will be announced on Friday morning. Again, senior homecoming shirts will be distributed after school on Thursday, October 4 th.

6 The 2015 Homecoming Dance has been moved to Saturday, October 24 from 8pm- 11pm in the Main Gym. Tickets will be sold in the mixing bowl during STEP. The ticket price is $20. This includes entrance to the dance as well as a Chick-fil-a sandwich, dessert, and beverage.

7 Check your obligations! If you have an obligation, you will NOT be able to purchase a ticket. Guest forms are available in the main office for any student wishing to attend that does not attend Watkins Mill. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door. So, See Ms. Squier in B102 with any questions

8 Do you love tasty Chipotle burritos? Can you demonstrate how to walk to school safely? Well you should enter the Walk to School Day Contest and be entered to win a $50 Chipotle gift card! Enter online by filling out the form on the new Safe Routes to School website: Receive extra entries when you take a picture of yourself walking safely to school using the hash tag #walk2schoolmoco and post them on Instagram or Twitter. 9 Attention Students, All student drivers must purchase a parking permit and it must be visible in your car. All cars without a visible permit after this Monday October 5, 2015 will be ticketed. Parking permits can be purchased at the financial office. They cost $37.50 per semester or $75.00 per year. Don t be caught without a permit after October 5th.

10 The Freedom Movement is having a speaker come to the next meeting, this Thurs. 10/1. Det. John Witherspoon will be here during STEP to talk to students about what he does in his job as a detective in the Missing Children Unit for Montgomery County and how students can protect themselves from becoming human trafficking victims. We meet in room c101 during STEP every Thurs. Everyone is invited!

11 Students, Are you eligible and want to get your driver learner s permit? If so, the MVA will be offering the test here at Watkins Mill High School on Saturday, October 10th. There are permission forms in the main office. Stop by and get yours today. The forms are due back to the main office no later than Wednesday, October 7th.

MEET ELECTED LEADERS, HEAR IMPORTANT ISSUES AND DEVELOP IMPORTANT CONNECTIONS. SEE MRS. PROCHNOW FOR THE APPLICATION.

14 MONTGOMERY COLLEGE IS HOSTING A SCHOLARSHIP CONFERENCE NEXT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT THE UNIVERSITIES OF SHADY GROVE IN ROCKVILLE. ATTEND WORKSHOPS AND LEARN ABOUT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. STOP BY THE CAREER CENTER FOR MORE INFO.

16 2 Days ago, wolverine freshman, William Springirth, shot his best round of the season, beating his best score by six strokes and posting one of the lowest scores of the day. He will compete again tomorrow at Needwood Golf Course against Einstein and Springbrook.

17 The Watkins Mill homecoming football game is been moved up to today THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1. March to the Mill campers wearing MttM gear get in FREE with a paying adult. Come by and cheer for your team! Bring your pom poms and cheer on the sidelines with your squad!
