2 President's Corner Some summer weather has arrived and the Club has already had several events. We travelled to Saratoga Springs, NY, for a "2019 National Caravan" kickoff weekend. Some of us took an ocean cruise to Bermuda for a week, followed by a weekend trip to West Dover, VT (a stone's throw from the entrance to the Mount Snow Ski Area) sponsored by Berkshire Corvettes. As I write this, we are just finishing a long weekend in Old Orchard Beach, ME for the "Back to the Beach Corvette Weekend Coming up soon are some Independence Day fireworks events, the air show at Stewart Airport on July 2 and the Long Island Sound Lighthouse boat tour on Sunday, July 30. All those who signed up for this lighthouse event are requested to pay the $30 a person fare as soon as possible so that Nancy can reserve our places for this fun event. Please submit the money to Sui Wodarski quickly so you don't miss out! The Club "No Car Show, After Show Party" will be held at our house (792 Candlewood Lake Road South, New Milford, CT) at 3PM to? On Saturday, August 5. More details to follow. The annual Club picnic will be held on Sunday, August 13, at Macedonia State Park, Kent, CT. More details to follow. That's enough for now. More to come about other future events in August, September and October. The June meeting of the CVCC will be held at 7PM at The Hearth Restaurant, 756 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT on Thursday, June 15, Those wishing to meet and greet may arrive at 6:30PM. For your information ONLY, the menu for the dinner will be: Vegetable Soup Garden Salad Choice of: Swiss Steak ( Pot Roast in a tomato base ) 2

5 Executive Secretary s Corner Kathy McKenna Executive Secretary. Candlewood Valley Corvette Club Minutes- May 25, 2017 The Hearth Restaurant Brookfield, CT Call to Order 7:20 The regular meeting of the CVCC was held on Thursday May 25 th at 7:00PM at the Hearth Restaurant in Brookfield CT. President Joe Wodarski called the meeting to order at 7:20 preceding dinner. He led us in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America. There were 15 members in attendance. Business Meeting: President Wodarski asked the members to approve the April minutes & if there were any changes? The minutes were accepted by Jimmy Vitetta and seconded by Pete DiMasi. President Wodarski talked about the kickoff to the 2019 trip Bowling Green Kentucky trip which was held in Saratoga Springs NY. It rained the whole weekend but all the members who attended had a very good time. Six of the members also went on a week long trip to Bermuda and had a great time. The Berkshire Corvette Club is hosting a trip to West Dover Vermont on Memorial Day weekend. 10 members were planning on attending this event. President Wodarski mentioned the June 9 th -11 th Back to the Beach event in Old Orchard Beach Maine. This is a yearly event that many members attend and have a great time. There is also no date right now for the fireworks at the Maywood Estate in Bridgewater CT, hospitality chair Nina Zschunke will look into this. Some of the members are also planning on attending the Air Show on July 2 nd at Stewart Airport in Newburgh NY, this should be another fun event. We also have a event on July 30 th which is a Lighthouse Tour in New London CT, it s a 3 hour tour from 9:30-12:30. The price is $30 per person. Committee Reports: 5
6 Treasurer Report: Treasurer Dave Zschunke stated we have a balance of $3500 in our checking account. Vice Presidents Report: Vice President Fred McKenna stated that the members who went on the Bermuda cruise had a great time & hopefully we can do it again with more members. President Wodarski asked if there was any old or new business which there was none. At 7:41 Fred McKenna made a motion to adjourn the meeting with Pete DiMasi seconding it.
