1 TABC/TEMPLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 6824 Randol Mill Road Fort Worth, TX TCSEAGLES.ORG August 18, 2014 Hello TCS Families, Welcome back!!! We re kicking off another exciting year of TCS sports. The kids have been working very hard this summer, and it couldn t have been more evident during our opening football scrimmage game last Friday night. Coach Hohulin and his staff had the team playing in mid-season form. They looked GREAT!!! And we can t wait to see their progress through this very promising season. Please come on out to this Friday s scrimmage against Grace Prep, where we ll also be hosting our annual Tailgate Event. We'll have plenty of food and drink, lots to catch up on, and a great opportunity to send our players out onto the field in the right mind, body and spirit. (see attached TABC flyer). We (Temple Athletic Booster Club) are very thankful for the help received by so many over the years. Together, we ve been able to make some real contributions to the ever improving TCS athletic department. Most recently, and significantly, are the new women s & men s weight rooms. You ll notice immediately how much of an impact these two facilities have made with our young athletes. If you haven t stopped by to see them yet, please do so they re gorgeous! And we ve only just begun. With your support, and God s blessing, we will continue working with TCS' Administration & Athletic Dept to achieve great things. There is a tremendous mission field out there, and the Lord has intentionally placed TCS in the midst of it. We are grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to contribute to the student-athlete experience. Please join us in our "outreach through athletics" program become a TABC member. You will not regret it. (see attached TABC Membership Form). One of our most consistent means of fundraising is through outdoor sports concessions. Our plan includes expanding this effort to as many outdoor home athletic events possible. And we need your help. We are going to reach out to every family member, student, alumni, faculty member, friend, sponsor, you name it, to get as much support as possible. To help make this more practical, Mr. Childs has graciously agreed to allow student time worked in concession stands to be credited as TCS Community Service Hours. Now they can show school/team support while being acknowledged for their willingness to serve others. Please visit our concessions volunteer website to sign up. We have Junior High, Junior Varsity and Varsity Football games listed already. Soccer, Baseball & Softball will follow. Due to the length of play and higher demand for volunteers, the high school games are broken into halves. While many of you are used to the task of operation our concession stand, some will be new to it. We will ensure experienced volunteers are present at all times. Some of you will be able to volunteer for several games, while some may only be able to do it once. Many have children that play sports, and not able to miss the entire game. That's where volunteering for ½ of a game comes in. We often find people tag-team a game and simply rotate quarters. However you can, please join our volunteer ranks. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

2 As you consider your availability, please keep in mind that every dollar raised by TABC goes directly into the TABC account and is used for the sole purpose of improving the athletic experience for all TCS student athletes. Thru this, we seek to expand the mission field and increase the harvest for the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ. With His guidance, we can make a difference.
