We started a little late due to the overwhelming number of people who needed to register for classes and the fact that our Grass ring judge was a no show, but it all worked out. Thanks to Kaci St. John for judging the Grass ring at the last minute! I also want to thank Ashle Steffenhagen for judging our Clay ring. Both judges did a great job! We saw a few new faces and some old friends at the Performance show. They were a small mighty group and everyone had a nice time. Unfortunately, it started to rain just before the English portion of the show, so everyone decided to scratch and go home. Of course, the sun was out 20 minutes later and it would have been a beautiful finish. Hopefully we ll see more people at the next show. Please try to pre-register for the shows, as it will save you a lot of time the morning of. The first Speed show is this Saturday, Oct 10 and there will be another the following Saturday, Oct 17. Amy Rogers is the new Speed Director and I know she is excited and looking forward to the new season. We will have a general membership meeting on Monday, Oct 12 and then the next will be Jan. 11th. Be assured the Board will continue to meet each month and handle any issues that may arise. Laura St John

They are the winners of the $50 Visa gift card. 2nd place was a nice orange and black jump made by Natalie Jen and she won $25 3rd place is a nicely made white and blue sailboat jump by Chris Jen and that earned $15. Pictures are the PGHA FB page. Coggins: the Department of Agriculture will be checking Coggins at all of our horse shows. You must make sure you have a printed copy of your Coggins. A picture of the Coggins on your telephone is NOT sufficient. It is a State law that you must have the Coggins with you anytime you are trailering a horse. Pre Entry: to save time the morning of the show, sending in your pre-entry forms would be greatly appreciated. Fax or Lstjohn15@comcast.net. This is only available to Hunter/Jumper and Performance shows. Credit Card Service: we are now accepting credit cards at all of our shows. There is a $5 convenience fee added to the bill for this service.

This would allow exhibitors to show in Polo shirts instead of formal show attire. All other rules of attire would apply. Breeches, proper English boots and a helmet. We will be voting on this at the general membership meeting Oct 12. If it is passed, this will take effect for the November show.
