2 The Marcus High School Tennis Team would like to welcome you to the Season! We are excited to begin a new season and to have each of you as a part of it! The Marcus Tennis Booster Club is grateful for the leadership of Kelly Langdon and John Schildt. Coach Langdon has been very successful at Marcus High School and continues to produce high caliber teams that represent what hard work and commitment are all about. He has led the team to many Area, District, Regional, and State Championships. Along with those achievements he has also been chosen Texas High School Coach of the Year multiple times. Coach Schildt continues to coordinate the Middle School Tennis program, which reaches Briarhill, Downing, and Lamar students. This is a great asset to the high school program and prepares these young athletes for future competition. Coach Schildt also provides the logistical support necessary for getting ALL teams to and from each event and practice. Once again we would like to thank our team families, friends and community for their support of Marcus Tennis. Without their encouragement and active involvement our program would not have the much needed facilities, equipment, and support that is needed to be successful. We would like to encourage each of you to volunteer and support Marcus Tennis. Our goal is that each family will become an active member of the booster club and become involved in the program whether it is at the middle school or high school level. As always, please contact us at anytime. Sincerely, Jeff and Stephanie Smith Booster Club Co-Presidents

7 Mark Your Calendars! Marcus Tennis Fundraising & Events The Marcus Tennis Program and our kids benefit greatly from our efforts! Funds we raise help pay for things like uniforms, drinks, facility improvements, and tournament fees. In addition, with the Servathon event, we also encourage our team to give back to our community. Here are the fundraising opportunities available. We encourage you to participate in multiple areas! EVENTS Early October: Homecoming Carnival - come support the team with a fun carnival game!
