2 Shirley Weaver, Editor The President s Letter By Larry Howle Hi CASA Members and Friends of CASA: The Officers and Board hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. January & February 2014 Issue Now that the holidays are over, it s time to start the New Year back at Pittsboro, where we belong. I would like to start by thanking Greg Lewis (the owner of the Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store) on behalf of all the members of CASA for the opportunity to come home to Pittsboro. Greg and his staff have expressed how much they are looking forward to our return. This move will be a team effort between CASA and the Roadhouse. Greg and I both agree that this will be a good for both the Roadhouse s business future and the future of CASA. The reestablishment of our club back to Pittsboro and letting other clubs know, will not happen overnight, and this is something that Greg and the Officers and Board are aware of. This will take time and a lot of work on our part. Greg has said that he will work with us any way he can to make this a success for CASA and the Roadhouse. Greg is as optimistic as we are about this arrangement. Our first social will be on Sunday January 5 th and there will be a meeting for Officer s & Board members ONLY from 4:00 to 4:30. The DJ for the evening will be Mr. CHIGGER WOODS playing from 5-9 with your favorite shag music. There will be a $10.00 buffet served from 4-6 and the admission cost is $5.00 per person. June and Larry will hold a free ½ hour basic lesson from 5-5:30 that will be open to anyone. Our February social will be on the second Sunday instead of the first Sunday because of the Super Bowl. This will mean that our Valentine s Day social will be on February the 9 th with the $10.00 buffet being served from 4:30 till 6:30. Our DJ for the social will be Mr. Johnny Wilson (of The Big Time Party Band) play the great tune we all love. Admission will be $5.00 and we will have 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Just to let you know we may during the year change a social date to accommodate special events that we are already working on. We will send out special flyer for any of these events in time so you will not be caught off guard. The new CASA WEBSITE is now up and running and I would like to thank Martha Mobley for all her work on getting this done. In closing I would like to say thanks to the new 2014 Officers and Board members for the support and all the work in advance for the upcoming year.
