In order to vote, Class of 2020 students must sign in to the ZB website. Under Clubs & Activities is Student Voting and Surveys. Click on here to vote. Congratulations to our 2022 Class Officers: Yesenia Gonzalez, Alyssa Henke, Kimberly Rico, Mariah Smith and Layae Spruill Bee Kind Week: Seniors if you are interested in giving the speech at Graduation: Graduating seniors with a 3.0 cumulative GPA and active in at least one activity/extra-curricular for multiple years with no discipline/attendance issues may submit an original proposal, no longer that 500 words, to Dr. Pawelczyk. Last day for speech proposals is May 10. Voting for Senior Awards is open. Voting ends on May 10. In order to vote, seniors must be signed in to the ZB website. 2 #swarmitforward is coming up! On April 30th, we will be gathering in the South Cafeteria to make seed balls with zinnia seeds to plant in the community. We will also have a few projects going on around our building to help beautify the ZBTHS campus such as mulching and planting. Students and staff - come out for an hour of community service (2:45-3:45) and get some snacks! Go here to make the pledge to join us: ewform?usp=sf_link Freshmen, show your class pride! Class of 2022 t-shirts are available for pre-order through your advisors. Cost is $7.00 per t-shirt with sizes ranging from small to 3X-large. Money must accompany the order. Make checks payable to ZBTHS. Orders due Monday, April 22 nd by 3:00pm. Please see Ms. Peterson for any questions or PetersoA@zbths.org for any questions. All students must leave the building after school is over. Students may only remain in the building if they are at athletic practice/have a competition, in a study session, attending a club/activity meeting or attending a lab. If you are taking the activity bus, you must get a pass from the staff member running the meeting. ATHLETICS Open Weight Room - The weight room will be open after school three days a week all year. Take this opportunity to get fit, feel healthier and be happier. The weight room will be open in April from 2:45-3:50 on these dates: April 22 nd, 23 rd, 25 th, 29 th and 30th. There is also a calendar posted in the weight room. For more information contact Mr. O'Connell. Cheer leading try outs All current ZB 9/10/11 grade students interested in cheering for Football season, please pick up tryout paperwork in the athletic office. Tryouts will take place on: Friday, May 17 Saturday, May 18 Monday, May 20 Good Luck! 3 Zion Benton Prom Theme: Enchanted Forest Colors: Purple/Lavender Date: Saturday, May 4 th, 2019 Time: 6 ~ 11 PM *** LOCATION - Holiday Inn, Gurnee, Illinois Tickets The tickets are non refundable and non transferrable. Please bring them with you to the dance- You must bring this with you in order to enter prom!!!! Guidelines Prom is a formal event. Tuxedos and evening gowns are appropriate. Street wear, such as jeans, is not allowed. Prom is a drug and alcohol free event. In order to attend you (and if you have an outside guest) must remain drug and alcohol free for the duration of the evening. By purchasing a ticket, you accept and agree to all rules and conditions of the event. Prom is a Zion Benton function: therefore, all rules in the handbook are expected to be followed. If you are unable to meet the requirements, your parents will be notified and appropriate action will be taken. Please note: chaperones are not responsible for anything extra (cell phones, wallets, cameras, purses, etc.) that you would bring with you to the prom. Please leave these items at home or in the car if possible. You will NOT need any additional money while at the prom unless you are purchasing a picture package and these costs are below.
