1 December 2015 Editor Kathie Richmond Tech Support Frank Richmond Presidents Message Well hello again my fellow nomads, there is really not too much to talk about this month, not too many members are traveling right now but I did hear from KATHIE RICHMOND this morning, she said they were in IDAHO FALLS and it was a very COMFY 4 DEGREES. I really feel sorry for those who missed our RALLY in NOVEMBER at LAS VEGAS. BOB & MARY ANN really spoiled us all by putting on a GREAT RALLY ". They did all the cooking except for the first night when we cooked our own steaks, but they provided all the rest of the dinner. We played golf, went to the BRIDGE, toured the WAYNE NEWTON MUSEUM and boy did he have some GREAT ARABIAN HORSES. The rest of the tour was very interesting also. We had the BIGGEST turn out in many, many rallies. Thanks to all 13 COACHES who attended. In closing let me remind everyone to come to our CHRISTMAS PARTY DEC. 17 th, and be sure to bring one toy EACH, unwrapped. We give them to TOY'S FOR TOTS. SHIRLEY & DOROTHY worked very hard on this party so let s all show up and have a GREAT TIME". GOD BLESS ALL YOUR PREZ. 2 LAS VEGAS RALLY The rally was hosted by Bob and Mary Ann Stephens, and what a good job they did. They hosted meals of brisket of beef and wonderful side-dishes plus we each Bar B Qued our own steak one evening and our host furnished the side-dishes and dessert, a luscious rum cake that didn t disappoint. SAD NEWS It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Chuck DeBoer on November 10 th. Chuck was a long time member and loved by all. Our prayers go out to Charlie who will be moving to California to be with her family. We had a ball with the popular White elephant gift exchange with plenty of surprises. Frank ended up with our famous lady statute. Who knows when she will turn up next? We also celebrated Bob s 80 what-ever birthday with a nice cake and singing of Happy Birthday to you. The whole group took a tour of Wayne Newtons Estate (Casa De Shenandoah). We enjoyed seeing some of his Arabian Horses perform and walked through his home and his car collection, not to mention the Jet plane he had retired to his estate. We also toured Hoover Dam and of course, some of us enjoyed a game of golf at the beautiful Legend Golf Course, while other visited Red Rock Canyon, shopped or just plain relaxed for the day.. Oh, I almost forgot we took a painting class which turned out to be an absolute hoot. Who would have thought we had so many artists in our club LOL Our closing Dinner was at the Elephant Bar Restaurant, where we all visited and enjoyed a great meal. Meander through the attached pictures and see how much fun was had by all. Mail to: Friendly Reminder Remember club dues are due before October. Take a moment to write a check for $25.00 so you don t lose track of it over time. Dennis Callahgan 3962 Azul Dr Lake Havasu City, Az Support Your Club We need more members to attend and host rallies. With participation from all members our rallies can continue a normal monthly schedule and the costs can be held down. Club houses and sites are less when more people attend. Another way to support Colorado River Ramblers, would be looking for new members to build our membership. With new members comes new ideas and hopefully new enthusiasm. Help us out, volunteer to host a rally and each one of us find one new member. Then watch us thrive like the old days. Thank you Bob and Mary Ann for all your hard work.
