1 9/27/17 If you are interested in joining the Environmental Club this year, please come by Ms. Sinor's room Room 805 to sign up and get an application. All applications are due Monday when returning back from Fall Break. The Page Turner Book Club will have an informational meeting Friday morning at 7:20. Whether you are a member, or considering being a member, please meet us Friday morning in the Library. If you are interested in joining the bowling team come by Coach Sinor's room Room 805 to sign up, receive information on where tryouts are, and the forms needed to complete for bowling. All bowling practices will be held at Lanes Trains and Automobiles. If you are interested in joining the Coding Club, come by the library and get an application. Applications are due to Mrs. Reed by Friday afternoon before Fall Break. Boys basketball tryouts will be on October 9 th from 3:15 4:30. You must have a physical and all up to date paperwork in order to tryout. All paperwork can be found on OMS Athletics webpage. Girls basketball will have open gym & conditioning throughout the month of September open to any female at OMS. Please check the girls basketball website for workout times. Must have updated physical. Official tryouts will be Monday, October 9th 4:45-6:00. 9/18/17 Homecoming dance will be held Sept. 21 st 5:30 7:30 here at OMS. Tickets will be sold until Sept. 20 th in the cafeteria for $5. Dress is semi casual (no shorts please) We encourage you to dress up, but formal attire is not required. Concessions will be available during the dance. The Anime Club is meeting at 7:20 7:45 Thursday morning in Portable 2

It s Cloudy with a high of 83 and low of 57 8/23/17 The cheerleaders are selling tickets for a car wash on Saturday at 10:30 for $5 a ticket. Teachers, you know you need a clean ride, so buy a ticket! Friday is the last day to turn in your cookie dough sales. Get out there and sell that cookie dough for some sweet prizes.. Such as tickets to a Glow Party and money grabs. Be sure to vote for your grade level homecoming nominees. Boxes are located in the grade level hallways and the cafeteria. The girl s soccer team has a game tonight at the high school that starts at 6pm against Central Magnet. Come cheer on our lady chargers. The Cross Country team is running in the Tiger meet in Nashville this Saturday at 9 am. Come out and watch our chargers take on 6 other teams in a long distance race! 7 8/18/17 Any 8th grade student that should have band on their schedule that does not needs to see Mr. Hearnes and Mr. Kinney ASAP. The 8th grade band is open to those students that have played in band previously. If you have any questions see the band directors. The 1st BETA meeting of the school year will be held Wednesday, August 23 from 3:15-4:00 in the auditorium. All students who are interested, 6th through 8th graders, and returning members MUST attend. Our fundraiser has 3 more days so start selling and sending out s so you can win prizes and money. Swim tryouts are August 22 nd for boys and August 23 rd for girls at 5:15 at the OHS pool. You ll need a swimsuit (one-piece for the ladies), goggles, a towel, a water bottle, and an up-to-date physical.
