1 NEWSLETTER Apr, 2015 VICE PRESIDENT S NOTE Our President is off with Millie, having a good time wandering about the southeastern U.S. In his absence, our Vice President has graciously consented to jot down a few notes. Well, our President is off again. So I am filling in this month. Spring has sprung, wildflowers are blooming, and things are starting to pick-up. Get out and dust those cars off and get ready to roll. Some of you we haven't seen in a while. Maybe now, more people will get out and enjoy the weather. Hope to see you at some of the car shows or activities. 2 EDITOR S CORNER Since our fearless leader Bob Deets is off wandering the United States with his lovely wife Millie, we won t get any Presidential Notes for this April issue of our Newsletter. Your friendly scrivener asked our Vice President Shirley to pen a few words, to which she graciously assented. Your editor is happy to report that despite all the time and work Mark and Don are putting into our upcoming Car Show, Mark found time to sit down a scribble out a few or his unique word usages to tell us of what has happened, and what will happen in the near future. AC TIV AT EE RE PORT By Mark Kidd Howdy y'all, it's that time of the month again, yup Ac Tiv a Tees Report for the newsletter. WAT HAPPUND March 4th. was the Georgetown Car Show and airplane display. I believe the club had 11 cars, 2 awards were give to Jim Eplen and DD pelam. Don Weber and Shirley Anderson received great door prizes. the weather was wonderful. Bill Hillin and myself put a car show flyer in every car there. thanks Bill. March 20th dinner at the trailer got canceled onacounta weather but it'll be scheduled for another time. March 28th. found between 15 to 20 club cars at Hamilton, again the weather was wonderful. our club won a bunch of awards, I believe Bryan C. looked really surprised when they announced his car, but I was not, cuz he has a chevy ina chevy, Cyndy won cuz we had a ford ina ford, so ok ya had ta be there, a great time was had by all... good food, great friends, beautiful day. Sorry for Gene P. tire separation commin home, ol tires Gene???? April 3rd. Friday Night Fever at Cecil's see y'all there.. WATS GOIN 2 HAPPUN Sat. April 11th.we have been invited by the Burnet Chamber of Commerce to display our cars at the Special LARC parking lot by the Community Center just a little west of the train station which will arrive at 11 am This will be a good time for all, shopping on the square for the ladies "LOOKIN" for the men, cars to talk about should be a good deal for everyone, to follow. Tues. April 13th. 5 pm. We are showing our cars at Hill Country Fellowship So bring your club cars, your ladies and lets have a good time..rsvp to Larry T. at as soon as possible. We will be meeting with the great Hayden Proffitt, Drag racing extraordinaire. I'm late getting this to our esteemed editor so thats it. ta ta for now and as always I love y;all and iffen ya don't like this report ya know what to do XXXXXX 2

Club Reports Wellness Report Betsy Reese- Get well Shirley Adwers- Get Well By: Peggy Davis Secretary Report The minutes were sent out to the members at large. There were no changes to be made to the minutes. ACTION: A request for a motion was made by Bob Deets and one was made by Cyndy Kidd, it was seconded by Marie Misfeldt. The motion was passed with 100% of the membership present and 0 opposed. 3
4 Treasurers Report The report was presented by Barbara Weber Barbara Weber ACTION: No Action was made Past/Future Activities Mark Kidd/Don Weber See Activity Report Old Business Bob Deets It was proposed that we keep $500 or 10% of the amount we make this year after the bills have been paid. It will be kept in a general fund and will be recur yearly as long as we have a car show. A motion was made to create a retainer for the budget on next year s car show by Bob Deets. Motion was seconded by Gerald Hunter and Bill Harris. Motion was accepted by majority membership present. One opposed. A motion was made to purchase a new canopy (10X14) by Brian Craven and was seconded by Don Weber. Motion was opposed by the majority membership present. There will not be a canopy purchased for the club members. NEW BUSINESS There is no new business to declare. BOB DEETS Reminder: Information Item For members who want Car Show T shirts, we need your orders before March 15 th. They are $10.00 each.
