TAP II TURBO This class is for the advanced Tap dancer that would like to enhance their dance experience. Student acceptance is at the teacher s discretion. PROGRAM#: DATE: Jan 11-May 24 Thursday 7:45 PM-8:15 PM 12 and up FEE: Resident $ / Non-resident $ MODERN This class will incorporate many of the foundations of modern dance technique, including suspension and release, fall and recovery, the use of momentum and connecting breath with movement. Dancers will explore new ways of moving in combinations, floor work and partnering, and also in various methods of improvisation. No class March 26. INSTRUCTOR: Ms. Jackie PROGRAM#: DATE: Jan 8-May 21 Monday 8:15PM-9:15PM JAZZ/POM Dancers will be introduced to basic jazz and pom techniques. Dancers will focus on turns, leaps, and jumps while working with pom-pons. Basic pom arm movements, kicks, and pom passes will be taught. No class March 27 & 29. Rehearsals will take place on May 31, June 1 & 2 (times to be announced). Tickets for the recital will be $7.00 per performance date and there will be a limited number of tickets per dancer. If you have more than one child enrolled or they are enrolled in more than one class, performances may be held on different nights. Costume fees have been included in the registration fee unless otherwise noted. Costume measurements will take place during the 1st & 2nd week of class. Under the direction of award winning Irish dance instructor, Kathie Horan, boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of the Jig and the Reel. Students are required to wear ballet shoes and comfortable clothing. No class March 28.
