3 GENERAL INFORMATION Venue Name: Location: The Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium 180 West Brooks, Norman, OK Directions to Memorial Stadium from Will Rogers Airport Take the Exit marked: To Interstate 44/Downtown Get in the lane marked 44 West/Lawton After one mile, follow the 240 East/Dallas sign After approximately 4 miles, take exit 4A, which is Interstate 35 South/Dallas Continue south on I-35 approximately 10 miles Take Highway 9 East (exit 108-A) 2.5 miles to Jenkins Avenue At Jenkins Avenue turn north (left) Oklahoma Memorial Stadium is located on the corner of Jenkins & Lindsey Credentials The coach, trainer and/or mascot handler must wear a credential. Please provide a list with the name and game function for each of these individuals to Kip Sanders at least one week prior to the game. Credentials can be picked up with a photo ID at your entrance to the practice field off of Lindsey Street (on the south side of the stadium). Spirit Squad Entrance 12 uniformed spirit squad members, one mascot, and one Spirit coach will be admitted through the south access gate to the practice fields off of Lindsey Street. Additional members may be approved by the OU Spirit Coordinator. Any member not in uniform, or with a credential, must have a ticket for entry into the stadium. Spirit squad members will have the opportunity to warm-up on the at approximately 60 minutes remaining on the pre-game time clock. Parking Please SpiritCoach@ou.edu to arrange for parking information. Parking will vary by game and type of vehicle. Locker Room Access to locker room is available with escort from Phil O Neill (Spirit Coordinator); however, teams should arrive as game-ready as possible. A water cooler will be provided on the sideline for the visiting spirit squad, and a halftime snack will be provided as well. Performance Area The performance area is located on the south end of the east sideline, directly in front of the area reserved for your fans and pep band (from the 20 yard-line through the end zone). Spirit Squad members may not enter the stands or use speakers/noisemakers, other than standard megaphones for voice amplification. Team Run-On/Touchdowns The visiting team will enter the stadium from the southwest corner. Visiting spirit may run the team on with flags. Please be aware of your surroundings, as the teams would cross midfield during pre-game and just after half if the timing were not perfect. After a visiting team score, spirit squad members may run the flags in the south end zone only.
