This is all the final information you need to know for concert! We need plenty of chaperones and volunteers to make our concert run smoothly. We really appreciate all the helping hands! As a parent volunteer for Studio 56 Dance Center we ask that you are positive, knowledgeable, and professional. Please be ready to answer questions and help parents find their way. All volunteers need to plan on attending a committee meeting: Picture volunteers: Wednesday June 3 rd West Murray June 19 th and June 20 th volunteers: Wednesday June 17 th West Murray COSTUME DETAILS: PLEASE WEAR FULL COSTUME, HAIR AND MAKEUP TO PICTURES AND THE PERFORMANCE! Costumes will be passed out in class the week of (May 18-22). If you are absent and do not receive your costume please come in with your dancer to class the following week to pick it up. Dancers with account balances will NOT receive costumes until they have been paid. NOTE: GIRLS: No underwear or visible bras, no jewelry or nailpolish

2 HAIR AND MAKE-UP DETAILS: If you have grade school aged dancer that is ONLY participating in hip hop or tumbling please follow the STARlet/STARburst hair and make up details. If you have a preschool aged dancer that is ONLY participating in tumbling please follow the preschool hair and make up details. BOYS Hair and Make-up details: Hair: Styled with gel and hair spray any way Make-up: Dust face with matching powder to prevent shine, apply blush along the cheek bones (no dramatic, just for color), apply chapstick to lips STAR Hair details: STARlets, STARbursts: o Left part, low bun, curly hair piece center of head o Hairnet around bun, curly hair scrunchie fastened around the bun o Curly hair scrunchie avialabe at Sallys, Rite Aid, Classy Chassie or online. Purchase to match your WET hair color. SuperSTARS, MegaSTARS and STARburst that are horses o Part into 3 slicked sections using clear elastics o Take back end of comb and poof between next ponytail o If your hair is not long pick up some matching extentions from Sallys to add to the pony tail. Shoud be about mid back. o Keep elasticing to the bottom o See sample picture below Stage Makeup Instructions for STAR GIRLS: 1-Apply a liquid base over your entire face, making sure that you blend it into your neck. 2-Highlight the brow bone and the eyelid with a light eyeshadow. For the lid, use a dark shadow all the way up to the crease. We would prefer brown or purple tones. 3-Line the top and bottom eyelids with a black eyeliner (liquid is easiest). Bring the lines together on the outside of the eye and take the line upwards following the line of your bottom eyelid. Apply mascara. 4-Apply blush along the cheekbones. Make it dramatic so you don t look washed out on stage. 5-Line your top and bottom lips, with lipliner, then fill them in with lipstick. We prefer dark red tones. Preschool Makeup and Hair instructions: Apply red lipstick, dramatic blush, and mascara. Sponge roller curly Bangs in a pony and flipped through (topsy tail)! 3 JUNE 6TH- PICTURES Pictures will be held at the WEST Murray studio (170 W Winchester St). Your recital bundle includes an 8x10 Memory Mate of an individual and class picture. Additional pictures may be purchased- order forms are attached; extras are available at the studio and on picture day. Fill out the order form and have it ready when you arrive at picture day. Plan on being at pictures for at least minutes. Come in full costume, hair and makeup. For Company Dancers- Please make sure you fill out picture order form. Your memory mate (included in the company payments) allows for individual pictures to be taken in ONE costume of your choice. If you want to take advantage of the additional prints or digital packages, then you can have additional shots taken in other costumes/dancewear. We will be taking a team picture in all company costumes for all teams, so bring everything! Pictures will be available for pick up CONCERT DAY!! Don t forget to swing by and pick them up! Friday, June 19th: TECH REHEARSAL Olympus High School address: 4055 S 2300 E Holladay. TECH REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY! BACKSTAGE, DRESSING ROOMS and AUDITORIUM ARE CLOSED TO ALL SPECTATORS AND PARENTS! To keep backstage organized we will have one class volunteer/teacher in charge of your child s class the entire rehearsal. Please drop dancers off in the South hallway. (Follow the signs.) The SAME parent/guardian must sign dancers in and pick them up. Parents need to wait for dancers in the lobby. In order for our rehearsal to run smoothly, we ask that dancers be on time and READY to go. Plan on being at Tech Rehearsal for minutes. As soon as dancers have rehearsed on the stage they will be brought to North hallway to meet parents and get checked out, just like they will do after they perform concert night. Parents are not allowed in the dressing rooms or back hallway once the children have been checked in for the rehearsal. ALL students will be rehearsing in their concert shirt and red shorts, please bring ALL proper shoes. Sat, June 20th: PERFORMANCE DAY Olympus High School address: 4055 S 2300 E Holladay Please look carefully at the lineup below so you know what shows your dancers are in. Line up is also posted online at ADMISSION: All families will be given 6 tickets included in the Concert fee. Dads in the Daddy Dance get in free with their red dad shirts. Beginning June 6 9am, additional tickets are available for purchase prior to the event for $6 and for $8 at the door if available. No one ages 3 and older is admitted to the show without a ticket. DROP OFF:

4 What is a call time? Call time is when you are expected to be in your dressing room in full costume, hair and make up. Dancer drop off and pick up will be the same as Tech Rehearsal. All preschool aged students must be signed in and out by the same parent/guardian. Parents without a "volunteer" badge are not allowed past the drop off point. This is to keep backstage less crowded and organized. We will have plenty of supervision backstage. WHAT TO PACK: Costume Hang Bag or blue bag with your tshirt and shorts and underwear packed! All costumes, hair accessories, tights, and shoes. PICK UP: NOTE: Please do not attempt to pick up your child during the performance until your designated meeting time! All students will be under the supervision of responsible adults and will be safe for the length of the performance. The dressing rooms will be stocked with various activities. Everyone will be checked out through the dancer check out by class. Please only send ONE guardian to the pick up hallway. Ringling Bros.
