Due & Insurance Update: If you have not done so, please send your dues in along with proof of your teams insurance to Michelle Reardon 1138 St. Finegan Drive, West Chester, PA Roster Update: December 16, Team Rosters are DUE. Review of ICWL Dual Meet 2012 Season Schedule: Dan Anyone who has a hosting issue due to a mistake made by the hosting committee, please contact Dan Leon or the board at board@intercountywrestlingleague.org. (See website for ICWL schedule) a. A mistake was noted in the schedule on. 14 th with Pottsgrove hosting. Haverford and Methacton match up pretty well and would make for a good dual meet. Haverford will check to see if they can get the school to host that day Rating System Mike B.: Mike passed around a copy of the rating system (see below) for all to review. The rating system is outlined as follows: Rating Definition 0 First Year Wrestler No experience either practice or wrestling meets 1 Has limited experience wrestling; Wins 50% or less of Saturday ICWL matchups; may enter novice tourneys but usually does not place or win 2 Has advanced past novice wrestler; wins 50-70% of ICWL matches; may enter novice tournaments usually with some success; may enter Open tourneys but with limited or no success in placing 3 Is an experienced wrestler; wins 60-80% of ICWL Saturday matches; no longer entering novice tourneys; may enter Open tourneys and has a reasonable chance or

2 history of placement in these events; may also now be looking at entering MAWA, PJW or Top 100- type events but usually does not advance past first round or two; may also now be submitting name for consideration for Duals Teams both in and outside the ICWL events; may also now be part of additional club team practices at least one time per week 4 Very experienced wrestler; advanced move techniques; wins 80% or better (most) of the ICWL Saturday matches; may also be regularly entering Open tournaments with consistent history of placement or wins in these type events; may also be entering MAWA, PJW or Top 100- type events and can compete for placement in most; may be a regular duals- team entrant and likely will earn a spot on those rosters; may also now be part of club team training outside the ICWL team training 5 Top tier wrestler; advanced moves and techniques; wins 90% or better (nearly all) of the ICWL Saturday matches; regularly is an Open Tournament entrant with consistent top placements or wins; regular entrant in MAWA, PJW and other Top 100- type events with history of advancement or wins at the top level of these competitions; may be a regular dual- meet competitor both inside and out of the ICWL and competes well with club teams or, they themselves are also on a club team in addition to ICWL team participation PLEASE make sure you are revisiting your team s ratings throughout the season on a regular basis and update the spreadsheet/roster. Try to incorporate what type of wrestler he/she is. Do they know and use advanced moves etc Remember that just because you have a wrestler who won the ICWL or Eastern National tournament as an 8 year old, doesn t mean they are an automatic 5 as a 10 year old. West Chester is putting together a team to take to the Fall Brawl on November 26, They are in need of wrestlers for the following weights- 110, 135, & Heavy Weight. Please contact Brian DiBernardo at wcywa@verizon.net if you have any kids interested in filling the open weight classes Gregg Harvy from Boyertown is looking for kids for a tournament this weekend November 12, He is looking to fill the following weight classes 55,60,65,70,75,80,90 & 120. If you have kids interested, please contact Gregg at greggharvy@aol.com. Phenlin Duals K- 6 Hoping to have this tournament in Dec. the day before the Haverford tournament. Advance Practice Update Mike N.: Advanced practice at Church Farm School starts Monday November 14 th. Practice will be held from 6:30 8:30pm

3 o o There are usually kids at this practice The cost is $40 for the season which runs from Nov - March. The league is looking for a second location for an advanced practice location Please the board if you have interest in hosting an advanced practice for the season preferably in the Bucks/Upper Mont Co. area. Competition Committee Updates - Fred: By- Law Update: Mike B. The dates for duals are as follows: Puternic Duals Sunday, uary 8, 2012 Bruiser Duals Saturday, March 3, 2012 VEWL vs ICWL duals K- 6 - shooting for the end of Dec 2011 Area IX ( approx 1600 kids) vs Area XI ( Approx kids)k- 8 Working on date Grapevine (consists of kids from Upper Buck & New Jersey) vs ICWL - Wants to do a Friday Night dual Day & Time TBD Wildwood Dual (2) teams Feb. 10th, 11th & 12 th This year we are going to do a lot better at tracking results. We are going to try to have wrestle offs locally when kids are from the same region. By- Laws will be addressed at the December meeting. Next league meeting will be held Monday December 5, 2011 at 7pm. Meeting Adjourned at 8:05pm
