1 Senior Activities Phone: (559) Family Fun & Community Events Sixth Annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day The City of Lemoore Community Services Department will hold their sixth annual event on Wednesday, May 24th from 8 AM to 11 AM at the Recreation Center. Seniors can take advantage of health screenings, participate in Senior exercise demonstrations such as Yoga, Jazzercise and chair stretching. There will be a breakfast and giveaways. This is a free event. s 55 and up FREE 8 11 AM Date Wednesday, May 24 Lemoore Recreation Center Sweets with Seniors Celebrate the season with us by enjoying a free breakfast and Holiday treats. This event is hosted by the American Legion, West Hills Culinary and Lemoore Community Services. Community Yard Sale The Lemoore Volunteers in Policing will be hosting Community Yard Sales at City Park in Lemoore on the first Saturday of each month beginning in March and running through October. Hours are 7 AM to 1 PM. Vendor spaces are $15. Vendors can register at the Recreation Department located at 721 W. Cinnamon Dr. No yard sale on 4th of July weekend Senior Dances The Lemoore Community Services Department will host a Senior Dance for ages 50 and up every three months. These dances will feature the Bobby Seals Band. There is a potluck dinner, so bring your favorite dish. Couples and singles welcome. s 50 and up Dates Feb. 15, May 17, Aug. 16 and Nov. 15 Where Civic Auditorium, 435 C Street When 7 to 10 PM $7 Witness for Fitness Senior Walking & Exercise Club Join instructor and motivator Dr. Ernie Smith and our big group of Seniors for some physical exercise. Walk the indoor track beginning at 8:30am. Exercise session begins at 9 AM and includes chair stretching, resistance bands and hand weights. There will be an informational meeting for all interested persons on Thursday, February 16, The meeting will be held at the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce Depot located at 300 E Street at 6 PM. Lemoore RV Center is hosting wine and cheese tasting during the meeting. 45

Fathers and Daughters will learn to Hula Dance, enjoy Luau cuisine including a roasted pig, take part in games and of course dance with your special daughter. Photo included in the price. This event is getting so big that we have moved the location to the Recreation Center. Lemoore Lions Easter Egg Hunt Free Easter egg hunt for children two to twelve years. Please bring an Easter basket for your child to fill with eggs. Plenty of candy and fun. PLUS special prizes in select Easter eggs! Over 20,000 eggs provided by South Valley Community Church. We celebrate keeping our children drug free and motivated to do well in school. Value depends on the number of entries. $20 18 and up Date Saturday, October 14 City Park Day Min/Max Saturday Registration 9 AM Oct. 6th no registrations taken after that date The Lemoore Community Services Department offers youth a safe, well-chaperoned night out with Club 34 (3rd and 4th grade), Club Live (5th and 6th grade), and The Hangout (7th and 8th grade) dances. Professional DJ, light shows, dance contests and a game room make these dances one of the most popular events offered by our department. All dances are lock-in children are not permitted to leave the dance until the dance is over. No gang affiliated clothing. School ID is required for all dances. A concession stand is available with items ranging in cost from 50 to $1.50. Club 34-3rd and 4th grade Let your third and fourth grader enjoy a night out in a safe and fun environment. DJ Crazy Craig will entertain your little ones with games, their favorite music and group dances. This is a lock in dance and children will not be able to leave until the dance is over. 3rd and 4th grade students $10 per person Dates Friday, April 21, and Friday, Oct. 6 Civic Auditorium 6 8:30 PM Club Live 5th and 6th grade DJ Crazy Craig will spin your child s favorite songs, entertain them with games and group dances and provide some giveaways at these dances for fifth- and sixth-graders. We provide a safe place for a night out with plenty of chaperones. There is a snack bar. The hangout offers a safe and chaperoned place to get together with friends and enjoy indoor soccer, Lip Sync battles (we will supply the props), a coffee bar and food. Come hangout with us. Runners will wear two flags on a belt. Protect these flags, they represent your life. Zombies staged along the course are ready and ravenous. They will chase you and steal your flags. Lose your flags and you can still finish the course as a runner. The Lemoore Travel team is an after school and weekend program for kids who are interested in playing year-round golf. Signups begin in February and the program will start in March. The team will travel to other courses, practice or play on our course in the spring and fall. The team travels to other courses in the summer and will participate in the seven team junior championship. Juniors participating in the travel team must be prepared to play on course. This holiday season the City of Lemoore Community Services Department will be helping Santa gather his letters from the Lemoore youth. Send your letters to the Community Services Department at 721 West Cinnamon Drive, Lemoore, CA 93245, or stop by to drop the letter off. In your envelope, include your letter to Santa and a selfaddressed stamped envelope for Santa to send the letter back. Santa has a lot of letters to go through and this will save him valuable time.
