Wake Up! said my mom. You will be late for your last day of school. I put a special surprise in your lunch box from the grocery store. So off I went with a post- it note on my lunch bag that said Love you honey! My parents are so embarrassing! Anyways, this is going to be fun, last day of school! Boy, am I happy! We, the whole school, are going on a field trip to the beach for the last day of school. So we all put colorful glitter on our faces and then we hopped on the large lemon yellow school buses. The driver was way cool; he played the music so loud! All of my classmates clapped in rhythm and banged the seats like a drum. My one friend even had castanets! Finally we arrived at the beach; I felt like a melting candle! We each game the bus driver a penny as a tip for his awesomeness. One by one we stepped onto the sand. (Ouch that s hot!) I then sprinted to the water like a dancer leaping across the stage. RING, RING! What? It was all a dream! It s only the first day of school. I had scissors in my hand, cutting out geometric shapes. Ugh! Back to reality!
