3 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE 01 What a great weekend we just had! Saturday, October 21st, a bunch of us from the Chapter hiked 6.5 miles to the Hollywood Sign. It was a gorgeousinvigorating day of exercise, sweat, laughter, meeting new peeps and accomplishment. We finished with a great lunch at Golden Road Brewing. I think we just might do something like this again. This year is flying bye. Summer sorta just passed (it s still in the 90 s) but I need to mention some of our sizzling events like the Summer Mixer! The Jonathan Beach Club has been the perfect venue. We had nearly 300 in attendance with fantastic weather, food, dancing, collaboration and live entertainment from the Mini Driver Band Lead Singer and All Around Diva Lindsay Billet (FM Global) rocked our socks off. Your LA Chapter (Jeff, Scott, Vinny, Dennis, Maling, Richard, Taylor, Drue, Cristina, Jonathan, Ross, Adam, {Queen Amber} and myself) just finished our Strategic Planning Meeting for next year. We ve got quite a lineup scheduled in 2018 that will promise to bring continued education, collaboration and plenty of fun that will personally offer you professional growth and opportunities, excitement and friendships that will last a lifetime. We re doing our best to keep you informed. Bookmark these sites on your computer or smartphone: Please also invite your colleagues to a LA RIMS Chapter event and send your contact info to Amber who will add you to our Mailing List: amber@emaoffice.com In November, our fantastic Rising Risk Professionals (RRP) is hosting Volunteer Day at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bankon November 9th, If you can spare the time, we would love to have you participate. Register at: On Thursday, December 7th, 2017 we ll wrap the year up with our Annual Holiday Party and Installation of Officers event. We ll be back at Woodland Hills Country Club with dinner, casino games, raffle prizes, live music from the Blue Line Band (Robb Greenspan) and dancing. I personally love this night. Every year it just gets better and better!
