1 SUDBURY EXTENDED DAY February 2017 Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. LORING SCHOOL GRADES K THROUGH 5 February News Happy Love Month!!!!! We have a lot of wonderful love themed crafts for this month, as well as some groundhog treats!!! We will also have some science experiments and some sweet Superbowl crafts for our loved Patriots!!! We are all looking forward to the Superbowl and getting excited!!! We have only one Early Release Day this month, which we will be staying on site! Just a reminder that if your child is doing any of the Clubs at Loring, such as the Chess Club or Math Club, if you could let us know, that would be great! Enjoy the Superbowl and Happy Valentine s Day to all of our fabulous families!. New Policy on Delayed Openings As of right now, we have a new policy on delayed openings for the Sudbury Public Schools. If the Public Schools are delayed for any amount of time, SED will be closed for the morning. We will have an afternoon program. Dates to Remember - Mr. Rogers February 8 th, 2017 Early Release Day! Loring Dance Party! All children on site! February 20 th, 2017 Presidents Day! No School! February 21 st February 24 th, 2017 Vacation Week! No School! Early Release Day! This month, we will have one Early Release Day! We will hold a Loring Dance Party, with Karaoke and lots of freeze dance and musical chairs, etc! We will also have a guest come in and teach us some line dancing! Loring School Rules The Loring School does not want the children walking through the school after school hours. If your child forgets his/her homework, they CANNOT go back unto their classroom or locker to grab it. We also cannot allow any adults into the building as well after school hours. The also goes for the children s snow pants and boots. We will try to remind the children when they first get to SED if they have everything! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at Loringsed@gmail.com. I check the daily!
