3 1. Introduction Objective of our Project Examine the development of the Free Software Wiimote Whiteboard since its initial release by Johnny Chung Lee. Find out the feasibility of using it in schools such as NTU. Conclude whether releasing Free Software is indeed beneficial, like what Richard Stallman said. 3

4 1. Introduction About the Wiimote Interactive Whiteboard Originated from Johnny Chung Lee in 2007 Based on the high-performance infra-red camera at the tip of the Wiimote to track an infra-red source (infra-red pen) Cost of setup: $50!!! 4
