We want to allow for as much rehearsal time as possible before the upcoming competitions and Spring Recital.

2 Sterling Silver Studio, LLC Page 2 Legends Grand Finale Information Every year Sterling Silver Studio s Grand Finale at the Spring Recital is always a fabulous production. The grand finale routine will feature the cast of the 2017 recital. This year we will start teaching the Grand Finale routine in each of the recital classes. This way everyone will get a chance to learn and practice the routine before the first group practice. There will be two group practices, you must attend both practices in order to perform the routine successfully at recital. Dancing With My Guy Routine It s not too late to sign-up for the most popular routine in our spring recital! The music legend we are using for this routine is Johnny Cash! That means we will have cowboys & cowgirls on stage for this routine. This is complimentary and open to all the 2017 Spring Recital performers. Grand Finale Uniform In order to perform in the Grand Finale you will need to purchase a 2017 spring recital t-shirt (the order form is included in this newsletter) and wear black pants, shorts or Capris. Group Assignments: A - Mommy & Me and Preschool B - Ages 5-8 C - Ages 9-11 D - Ages 12 & over If your team is performing in both shows, you must attend both practice times. If you are interested, signup for free in the Studio Boutique. Once you have signed up, and we have students ages that are participating, we will you with more information about rehearsal dates & times. As an incentive for students to sell advertising, the non-profit organization Performing Arts Student Scholarship (P.A.S.S.) Foundation offers prizes to advertising sellers! FUN GOOD LUCK AD OPPORTUNITY! Parents & family members are able to purchase business style ads to wish their kids, friends or teams good luck! Simply pick up one of the business/personal ad forms at the studio or on our website under Newsletters and be creative! You can add text, logos and photos that are not copyrighted. Good Luck Ads: Write a personal message in the Spring Recital Program to your performer on their special day, $5 per line. Spring has sprung and that means Summer is on the way and it s time to get registered for Sterling Silver s Summer Parade Camp! Our theme this year is 80 s Old Skool Hip Hop with a mix of some of the best hip hop artists of the 80 s! Attend the one week of Parade Camp and you can perform in any or all of the parades we will participate in this year. The camp run from June 12-15, with your choice of twirling or dance. Register now online or in the Boutique! 4:00-5:00 Preschool Twirl 4:00-5:00 9 yrs & under, Dance or Twirl 5:00-6:00 10 yrs & over, Dance or Twirl 6:00-7:00 Sr. Corps/Fire Twirlers Join the PAC! Performing Arts Company (PAC) classes are FUN! Tuition is not higher than recreational classes. PAC classes help you advance faster and give you more performance opportunities! Anyone is welcome to audition for the Performing Arts Company teams. These teams consist of dancers and twirlers who work hard and are dedicated to their teams. These teams to travel throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. They usually compete in 4 to 5 local and out of town competitions. Auditions Auditions are based on experience, knowledge and execution of technique, how quickly you learn routines, etc. All auditions are on one day. On Monday, July 7 there will be different auditions for different styles. There is a $35 audition fee for per person per style. Register now online or at the desk. Audition forms will be out in May. Testing is optional, but when you test and pass a level you will receive a patch. Levels are another way that instructors place students. There are three level camps available: 1. Acro Levels: July 10-13, test on July Twirl & Jazz: July 17-20, test on July Twirl & Jazz: July 31-Aug 3, test on Aug 4 This is the performer s opportunity to advance and learn new skills before starting the recital season. Ask your child s instructor or desk staff if you would like more information.
