I understand that there are mandatory rehearsals that my child will be expected to participate in to prepare for competition (dates and costs are listed in my Competition Information Packet.) I also understand that there are other expenses such as Entry Fees, Coaches Fees, conventions, costumes and accessories that will also need to be purchased for the competitions. I understand that there are extra traveling expenses with the National competition. I am aware of the due dates of all the fees, the Attendance Policy and Code of Conduct Policy. ALL Company members are REQUIRED to participate in the Company Production Routine. Information about this routine (rehearsal times) will be ed at a later date. 6 Solo / Duo / Trio Information The following information is for Company members who are interested in performing a solo / duet / trio routine at competitions this season. Performing a solo / duet / trio is a PRIVILAGE and only students who have competed on the MelRoe s Competition Company for at least one year may be considered for this extra routine. Students who would like to REQUEST a solo / duet / trio, please complete the attached form and submit to the office by the due date. Choreography Fee: This fee includes 6 hours (usually 3 two hour lessons) to choreograph and teach the routine. These lessons are scheduled directly with the choreographer / teacher. The Choreography Fee is paid directly to the choreographer / teacher. The Choreography Fee is DUE BEFORE LESSONS CAN BEGIN. Choreography Fees: Solo = $300 Duet = Trio = $400 (divided between the dancers) $600 (divided between the dancers) Weekly Privates: Once the routine is taught (during the 6 hours of choreography lessons,) students are REQUIRED to take AT LEAST ONE private lesson (30 min) EACH WEEK to polish choreography and continue to work technique NO EXCEPTIONS. Private Lessons may be scheduled with the choreographer or ANY MelRoe s Staff to polish the routine and work on technique. IT IS THE STUDENT S RESPONSIBILITY TO SCHEDULE A WEEKLY PRIVATE WITH A MELROE S STAFF MEMBER. The MelRoe s staff will be keeping attendance on weekly private lessons this year. Students who do not take weekly privates, may NOT be allowed to compete their routine. The weekly Private Lesson Fee is paid directly to the choreographer / teacher and is DUE AT THE TIME OF EACH LESSON. Private Lesson Fees: Solo: $20 (30 min) $40 (hour) Duet: $30 (30 min) $60 (hour) Trio: $45 (30 min) $90 (hour) Music and Costume: All music and costumes will be determined by the choreographer / teacher.
