2 CBC Football Mission Statement The football field is our classroom and the game is our vehicle to teach lifelong lessons, to create memorable experiences and to have fun. It is the mission of our program to build character in our studentathletes and teach the value of teamwork. Attitude, commitment, discipline, and sacrifice will be used to build a successful program. Our plan is to expose student-athletes to a family atmosphere in the hopes that they will build on this tradition and understand the responsibility to hand it down to younger players. Lastly, our mission is to continuously pursue excellence and overcome adversity. We will always prepare, practice, and play to WIN on the field, in the classroom, and in the game of life.

7 Academic Policy Returning players MUST have a 2.0 from the previous semester to be eligible Cannot become ineligible during the Season Could become eligible after 1 st Quarter

8 Attendance Summer is voluntary Aug 1 st is mandatory All practices are mandatory to attend Practice start time is when they should be dressed and ready to go not show up

9 Parent Expectations Attendance Practice is MANDATORY beginning August 1 st Player should call me if he is running late Player should notify me in advance if he has to miss practice Attitude Respectful Communication I will meet with your child one on one before we meet

10 Concussions (2018 and Fresh) All players will receive a baseline concussion test All players deemed to have a concussion will have to be cleared by a doctor to get back on the field We take it very SERIOUS!! Dr. Matt Bayse Sports Medicine Doctor

15 Important Dates May 5 th 2017 Gear pick up May 16 th Impact Concussion Testing for JR class of 2018 Cost $10.00 per player May 17 th Black Shirts/2018 Gear Pick up May 18 th 2019 Gear Pick up May 27 th Camp Flyer turn in May 31 st Summer lifting Program June 8 th Impact Concussion Testing for incoming Freshmen July 11 th 12:00 PM Senior Picture Physicals in by July 13 th

16 Physicals Physical papers will be mailed out in early March with your progress report. All Paperwork is online NOW!!! All paperwork is DUE NO LATER than July 13th so we have time to go through everything. Any questions call us. After Feb 1 st 2016 physicals are good. Needs to be on MSHSAA form. Student Athlete Emergency Form as well. If you do not have a physical than you will not be allowed to practice which will affect playing time!!!!

18 Summer Camps College Camps Find about 3-4 Camps you want to go that is how you get recruited Try to attend all CBC Camps Mini camp May 31-June 2 Week 1 June 6 th -11th (PW Camp 10 & 11) Mini camp July 5 th -7 th Week 2 July 18 th -22 nd (Glencoe 20-22, non freshmen) Dead Week July 23 rd 31 st Great Vacation days Aug 1 st Mandatory Practice Begins College Camps Find about 3-4 Camps you want to go that is how you get recruited

19 How To Be A Happy Parent of a Cadet Be positive with your son, let him know he is accomplishing something by simply being part of a team. Be supportive of his Coaches. Insist that your son follow team rules. Encourage your son to make good grades. Be a team player. Get to the game early, wear your purple and gold, and cheer for the Cadets! Understand that stats might not be updated immediately please send any issues to Coach Pingel after ample time has passed.
