As a team we have had recent success with a top 5 finish, and also a win in the 2014 season. We are looking to put together another competitive team for the upcoming 2015 season and hope to see everyone come out. Contact: Joseph Helmick - jah8453@uncw.edu Gymnastics Gymnastics club accepts students of all experience levels, from rolling on the ground to Olympic champions. We compete against well-developed programs in Wilmington and the surrounding areas. This includes holding practices, hosting games, and traveling to other schools. Our underlying goal is to develop a competitive lacrosse team that develops team skills, and enhances camaraderie, as well as create an image of role model athletes for the students of UNCW, as well as lacrosse players in the Wilmington area. Our goal is to shape our players into strong athletes that will share their love of rugby and continue to play even after graduation. We accept all players of all body types and skill levels. Come as you are, we will teach you the essential skills to play the sport. Most of our players have never even heard of rugby when they began, but they fell in love with the sport. If you are looking to try something new, join UNCW Women s Rugby. Contact Information: Samantha Warwick stw1875@uncw.edu Practice Times: Every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00-7:00 at the UNCW Gazebo Fields. Sailing Contact: Lauren Matthews lmm5120@uncw.edu Men s Soccer The Men s Soccer Club is a completely student operated team that strives to provide a competitive and fun soccer experience for UNCW students. We select a traveling team of around 18 to 20 players who pay club dues, travel and play in divisional and exhibition games as well as tournaments throughout the year, and practice twice per week. We also want to provide players who do not get selected for the team to have the opportunity to train and improve their skills so anyone can come to each training session. Contact: Logan Raichle lbr3655@uncw.edu Women s Soccer UNCW Women s Club Soccer provides members with the opportunity to compete competitively in intercollegiate matches and tournaments while maintaining a primary focus on academic endeavors. While our official season is in autumn, we play just as often in the spring. We have no coach; the team is captain led and we always encourage input from the other members. We hold tryouts during the first two practices of the season but no one is cut, they are a good way for us to get to know the girls and how they play. Because of this, everyone is welcome at practices but game rosters are determined weekly. We like to keep the club flexible and enjoyable for everyone. Contact: Nikki Confroy nmc3336@uncw.edu

5 Softball The softball club is a place where you can enjoy the great game of softball and spend time with a great group of girls. We are both competitive and have a lot of fun doing it. We practice on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 at the Gazebo softball field. Hope to see you there! contact: Houston Etscheidt hme3754@uncw.edu Swimming UNCW Club Swimming is a competitive, student led sports club. The UNCW Swim Club practices twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Student Recreation Center. Travel to other North Carolina universities occurs four times a year where club members have the opportunity to compete against other club teams in a swim meet. In April, the club travels to Georgia for a National Swim Meet. All club members are required to pass a swim test in order to join. Contact: Morgan Hoy mah7225@uncw.edu Tennis Men s and Women s Club Tennis have combined in order to create one Tennis Club. Our communal team has the opportunity to compete in tournaments across North Carolina and the Southeast region against other collegiate teams throughout the season. We host a variety of inhouse tournaments as well as the annual Wilmington Fall Invitational. Our club practices three times a week year-round on the recreational tennis courts on campus and thrives to create an environment where everyone is able to improve and hone their skills throughout the season. Contact: Jordan Johnson jkj7139@uncw.edu Triathlon The goals of the UNCW Triathlon Club are to introduce students, faculty, and staff to the world of multisport racing by providing a friendly, yet competitive, environment in which they can develop the skills and strengths to participate in the sport. It also provides students with organization for training and racing purposes and to compete both locally and nationally in multisport events at the collegiate level as well as the normal age-group or elite levels. UNCW triathlon Club charges dues annually to help with costs related to racing. Contact: Alan Woodbury akw2771@uncw.edu or Grace Wallace gew5846@uncw.edu Men s Ultimate The UNCW Men's ultimate frisbee club, also known as the Seamen; is a student organization interested in promoting the game and sportsmanship of ultimate frisbee; along with competing at a national collegiate level.the Seamen offer two avenues for students to pursue ultimate frisbee. There is an A-team and a B-team. The A-team is the more competitive of the two teams. They travel nationwide to weekend tournaments during the spring semester and have mandatory practice 3-4 times a week depending on the time of year. They've qualified for nationals 3 years in a row and have recorded top 10 finishes at each of them. If you want to play ultimate at a high level and pursue a national championship, this is the team you want to be on.

6 The B-team is the more relaxed, developmental team between the two. The B-team travels regionally to weekend tournaments during the spring semester and practices 3 times a week. If you re new to ultimate frisbee, or don't want to make the big commitment to A-team this is the team for you. Both teams practice and go to tournaments together for the first several months of the school year (fall semester). After many practices and several tournaments a split will be made and A & B team will be identified. Contact: Austin McGrayne amm4005@uncw.edu Women s Ultimate Ultimate Frisbee is an up and coming sport because of both the nature of the game and the play itself. Ultimate is a self-officiated sport which means we depend on good spirit and honor during games. Because we play with a disc as opposed to a ball, ultimate will teach you skills you would never learn in another sport. Ultimate is fun, and it is a great workout. Seaweed women's ultimate is a team on and off the field and if you join ultimate you will join a group of wonderful, athletic, and driven girls, determined to better themselves on and off the field. Contact: Paige Durham pmd2500@uncw.edu Men s Volleyball The Men s Club Volleyball program is a place for those who love volleyball. We accept anyone, regardless of skill level, that wants to practice with us and get better at the sport. We hold practice two nights a week in the Student Recreation Center. We also travel to a number of tournaments in the area, and host a tournament at least once a year. As a club, we also frequently compete in the NCVF National's Tournament. Contact: Fon Ratliff fr5647@uncw.edu or Patrick Martin pjm3356@uncw.edu Women s Volleyball Hello Ladies! Are you interested in continuing your volleyball career from the high school level at this wonderful university? The Women s Club Volleyball Team is a group of girls who love the sport and are dedicated to practices, tournaments, and one another. If you re interested in coming out for the team, here is some information you need to know: We will be having open gyms (a time to come and practice your skills and meet the officers before tryouts). Tryouts and open gyms help us determine who will be the best fit for our two club teams. We have practices twice a week, and three tournaments per semester. WE WILL BE ATTENDING NATIONALS THIS YEAR IN LOUISVILLE! All events will be held in the student rec center, there is a court directly ahead of the entrance that is enclosed with windows. Look for the volleyball net as well! Hope to see all of you lovely ladies there! Still have questions? Contact: Contacts: Caroline Winand - cnw8371@uncw.edu

7 Wakeboard The UNCW Wakeboard Club welcomes members of all skill levels from students who have never stepped on a wakeboard to students that have competed in various levels of competition. We greatly enjoy teaching new members whether it be how to wakeboard with no experience or working with members to learn new tricks and fundamentals to make them a better all-around rider. Our club trips are usually either to Hexagon Wake Park (cable park) in Benson, NC or boat trips out to the local Cape Fear River and Intracoastal waterway. We usually do a few other planned club trips to places such as Jibtopia or attend other events riding with pro s at Hexagon Wake Park. We love to have fun and would love for you to join us as we hope to grow the UNCW Wakeboard Club and the sport! Contact us with any questions otherwise we hope to see you on the water! Contact: Josh McCoy jbm6503@uncw.edu Water Polo The UNCW Water Polo Club is a competitive club sports team that travels to several tournaments each year. We are made up of individuals with a wide variety of experience, so it is not required that a prospective team member played in the past however it would be very useful to know how to swim. As a team we are dedicated to making water polo at UNCW as competitive and enjoyable as possible for all of our players. Anyone is welcome to join and we encourage people to try it out, however those interested must keep in mind that water polo is a physically demanding sport, so be prepared to work hard at practice and in games. We practice twice a week and have dry land workouts in-between. For those who join we are a tight group of friends as well as teammates who are always ready to welcome a new player!
