Please put student s name on EVERYTHING. WHERE: SMU, McFarlin Auditorium ENTER: All dancers and parent volunteers are to enter through the back door, closest to Hillcrest Drive. If you see a lawn & fountain you need to go to the opposite side of the building. *see page 3 PARKING: Metered parking is available. You may also park in the Daniel Parking Center. Follow all instructions/restrictions listed at on-campus lots to avoid being ticketed. *see page 3 for details ARRIVAL: 1:00 pm Show STUDENTS ARRIVE AT 12:30 (Theatre doors for audience will open at 12:30) 3:00 pm Show STUDENTS ARRIVE AT 2:30 (Theatre doors for audience will open at 2:30) COSTUME INFORMATION Costumes for Making Spirits Bright are the property of Studio B Dance & Performing Arts and will be transported to and from the theatre by Studio B Dance & Performing Arts staff. Remember that there is no need to wear underwear under your tights. All camisole leotards, bras, or support tops should be nude colored with clear straps and should not show. GENERAL INFORMATION

3 Page 3 of 5 Students will be dismissed from the stage after the show is over. After the curtain closes, performers will be brought to the stage to sit with their belongings and their volunteer. We will have an organized dismissal, one class at a time. Performers need to have hair and make-up done before coming thru the backstage door. Each class will have a volunteer that is in charge while backstage. An on-line sign up will be sent out for volunteers. Volunteers get to watch their dancer from the wings while they perform. Coloring books and crayons will be provided for entertainment purposes while students wait for their turn on stage. Please feed your student before arriving. No food or drink will be allowed backstage. 3-year-olds may wear a pull-up diaper under their tights if there is a concern. Parents are not permitted backstage unless assigned to be a backstage volunteer. PERFORMANCE INFORMATION Performance Times: There will be two Making Spirits Bright performances that take place on SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2017, 1:00 and 3:00 PM. Please check the chart on page 4 for your dancer's assigned show time. All the performers in each show will participate in a finale at the close of each show. No student will be released until the end of each show due to safety precautions. BEFORE show: Dancers should arrive 30 minutes prior to show time in full hair and makeup with appropriate tights and. Parents will not be allowed in the backstage area. *Please make sure all, tights, etc. are labeled with your dancer's name. DURING show: Performers will wait backstage until it is their time in the show. If your child has a costume change, studio B Dance & Performing Arts staff and parent volunteers will be in the dressing room to assist dancers. AFTER show: Performers will not be permitted to leave until the show's completion. After the finale, students will remain on stage for dismissal. When your class is called, one family member will come to the stage to pick up their dancer. studio B Dance & Performing Arts staff and volunteers will supervise all dancers until they have been picked up. If your dancer is in both shows, you may pick them up in between shows for snack time. MAKE-UP: red lipstick, pink blush, blue eye shadow, black mascara and optional black eyeliner. TIGHTS & HAIR ASSIGMENTS: Tights must be purchased independently. We recommend the Capezio store (on Lovers Lane), Sandy s Dancewear or discountdance.com. See chart on page 4 for tight color assignments.
