1 Gymnastique Magique DISNEY PERFORMING ARTS PRE PARADE FORM G (Revised Feb 2018) An exciting aspect of the Gymnastique Magique event is the opportunity for dancers to potentially participate in a pre-parade in the Disneyland Park. Each group is required to learn the choreography in advance and forward footage showing all of the dancers performing the choreography to their best possible ability. Once they have proved their competence and passed their audition, they will receive an offer from Disney Performing Arts to be included in this wonderful opportunity which dancers and their parents will treasure forever! The pre-parade is subject to various restrictions which will be enforced on the day, these are listed further down this . Any participant who does not respect the requirements of a Disney parade will not be permitted to take part. As you will be aware, it is a privilege that the Gymnastique Magique performers have been asked to perform a pre-parade through the Disney Park, Disneyland Paris are allowing your dancers to perform before their own international public meaning the presentation and behavior of all participants will reflect on Disney themselves. Disney have age restrictions for the parade (8 years + as at the date of the parade) for safety reasons and be dependent on the weather conditions on the day. With this in mind we ask that you teach the routine to your dancers and once you are happy they have fully learnt the routine and can perform to the level that would be expected in the Disneyland Park, please send us two auditions, one filmed performing on the spot and one filmed travelling forward for the full duration of the song as directed within the choreography, dancers positioned in lines of 3 or 5 (perhaps outside or looping around your studio?). Please record both auditions filmed to the parade music and each audition must be for at least one duration of the song from start to finish (approximately 2minutes10seconds). We need this footage by 2018/ AUDITION SUBMISSION DEADLINES Gymnastique Magique OCTOBER 2018 within 2 months of your booking or by 01/05/2018 depending on which date arrives first. Please announce the name of your group when commencing your recording as it will assist Disney Performing Arts administratively. The audition can then be sent to us either by DVD disc or more efficient means such as uploading to Dropbox or which is a simple and easy to use method of digital transfer. If you need any assistance when uploading your footage, please contact us and we will talk you through the procedure. We will also need the attached application form completing with your contact details on page 2 and your pre-parade dancers numbers where highlighted on page 3, auditions will not be accepted without the attached application.

2 Below are 4 links to the choreography from various angles and the following choreography notes to assist you in teaching the pre-parade choreography to your dancers. These links are for your use only and not to be placed into the public domain. Please advise if you are unable to access the footage as soon as possible. The footage shows the choreography which will continuously repeat throughout the parade route, please ensure each of your auditions show the choreography from start to finish (at least one duration of the song - approximately 2minutes10seconds) Upon successful application, all participants are required to adhere to the following in order to be permitted to perform on the day: Upon successful application we will provide all pre-parade dancers with a light weight jacket to be worn during the pre-parade (these are to be ordered within your pre-parade application and provided during the weekend subject to acceptance) Dancers are asked to wear the jacket with their own full length matt black trousers (preferred attire) or thick black leggings which must be of a high quality to ensure no under garments are visible. (no tracksuit bottoms or shiny material permitted) - there should be absolutely no branding/markings/logos on any bottoms there must be uniformity throughout all dancers Dancers are asked to wear plain black trainers/pumps there should be absolutely no branding/coloured laces/markings/logos on the footwear ie Converse, Vans. Ideal footwear would be PE black plimsoll style Dancers are asked to wear their hair neat, with no fashion statement headbands Jewellery to be removed if possible or kept minimal Make-up is to be kept to a minimum There will be a compulsory mass rehearsal for all pre-parade participants held during the Gymnastique Magique weekend (the time will be confirmed in your itinerary which will be sent closer to the time of the event) which will offer Disney the opportunity to align performers, and for all groups to come together and rehearse as one group to appreciate the number of performers involved and how the parade will appear on the day.

Jump on accent. NOTES: Every side step needs to be cheated to a diagonal so the choreography continues to move forward. Please pay attention to hand positions on hip and palms. Please try and rehearse this moving forward either in your studio, or take boom box and try it outside in a safe area. No singing to playback please, but big Disney smiles! None of the steps are difficult but the music is fairly fast. Please take the time to help the children really know the choreography before doing at full speed.
