1 Announcements October 4, 2017 Project Graduation has the parking lot supper this Friday night for the Homecoming game! We need helpers to set up and sell! Please be at the field at 5:30 to set up. We also are having a mini-photo shoot with Kimmie McKinney. We need volunteers to help her set up, fill out order forms, and direct people. Please be at the parking lot by the north entrance at 5:30. Project Grad needs workers for the volleyball concession stand this Friday night! Please check your for the link to sign up! The Remind app should be available through Self Service on your school ipad. Don't miss announcements and club/team information anymore! Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop October 12 from 6-7 in the library. Junior and senior students interested in applying for scholarships should attend. The library will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the morning due to PSAT/ACT/TSI testing. This is next Wednesday. Like to read? Like to write? The Empire-Tribune wants to spotlight books that high school students are reading. Send your submission to the SHS College Fair is October 23rd from 9-11am. 1. We need bottled waters donated for the Project Graduation Parking Lot Supper this Friday night! Please drop off your donation to the foyer. Be sure your receipt is attached with your name on it so you can get points! All Stars began a new season of soccer at Faith Field which is located at Faith Lutheran Church across from McCoy s. Volunteers for games need to arrive by 5:00 p.m. to sign in and to be assigned to a player or task. Games normally conclude by 6:30p.m. The season will continue every Monday through October 30. Last HJH Volleyball tournament this weekend-saturday, October 7th. If you need community service hours, see Coach Green. Community Service Opportunity: Assist with childcare during Bilingual Parent Night on Tuesday, October 10 from 6-8pm at Chamberlin Elementary. Sign up in the counseling center. Community Service Opportunity: Color Chaos Run, Saturday, October 7 at Stephenville City Park from 7am-10am. Help with set up or color stations. Sign up in counseling center. Friday October 6, can help stuff bags for race at 4pm at SISD administration building. Volunteers needed Saturday, October 14 from 10 AM-3 PM at Stephenville Historical Museum for By Gone Days. Help with artisan activities, contests and concessions. Call Miss Vee at to volunteer.

3 Volunteers needed Saturday, October 14 from 5-9 PM for Sundown on the Square. Help is needed in the water stations. You will be selling water which is purchased using tickets so no money, just taking tickets and selling water. Sign up in the counseling center. Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Stephenville needs volunteers to walk and play with Hurricane Harvey dogs. Cornerstone is also taking donations of dog food and blankets. Call Cornerstone at to schedule a time. Attention: High School students who need Service Hours We need volunteers for the Morgan Mill PTF Spooktacular Fall Carnival. The event takes place at the Morgan Mill School on US HWY 281 & FM 1188 on Saturday, October 28, Volunteers are needed from 3:30PM-8:30PM. We will have approximately 25 game booths that will need several volunteers as well as other duties throughout the event. Service hours will be awarded for assisting. Sign up in the COUNSELING CENTER.
