1 Welcome to the Big Top Arena at Carnival City 4 th 7 th August 2016 The South African Body of Dance (SABOD) in conjunction with Sun International are looking forward to hosting the 2016 Battle of the Giants at the new venue of Carnival City, for this year, due to the reconstruction of the SuperBowl at Sun City. There will only be Bed & Breakfast accommodation packages available for BOTG 2016 which takes place at Carnival City. There is accommodation at Carnival City Club Hotel and The Maslow Hotel based in Sandton. This is the responsibility of the individuals involved. 3. There are gambling facilities at Carnival City. Gambling for persons 18 years and over. Carnival City supports the National esponsible Gambling Program. 4. There are ATM facilities located at the Carnival City complex. 5. 2 7. Spectator s tickets can be purchased from any Computicket as well as from the Computicket within Carnival City. Cost: 120 Adults, 60 for kids under 12 years & 90 for pensioners. This is for a full day irrespective of arrival times. Dancing is in two venues: Big Top Arena and The Mardis Gras, with unreserved seating. Carnival City Security will manage this process. 8. One commemorative T- Shirt is included in the dancer s entry fee. Please note that the dancer entered may only order one t-shirt, either online or on the order form provided. Should any other commemorative T-shirts be required by the dancers, spectators or parents, please complete the attached form supplied. 9. Closing Date for Dancers Entries is Monday the 4 th July THIS DATE WILL BE STICTLY ADHEED TO. This t-shirt size must be entered online along with the entry into the competition on O by completing the attached t-shirt order form below and ing it sabodcomps@icon.co.za if the competition entry has not been done on the online SABOD system. 2. Non-dancers (spectators, students, parents etc) who would like to order a commemorative t-shirt, may do so by completing the attached t-shirt order form below and ing it to sabodcomps@icon.co.za with the proof of payment accompanying the order form. Free entrance into the Big top arena & The Mardi Gras for the full duration of the Giants festival. 3. Includes a commemorative T-shirt, a souvenir programme and free entry to the Achiever Finals in the Big top arena. Entry Fees are NON-EFUNDABLE under any circumstances. 6 SPLIT DANCE FLOO: The dance floor will be divided in two for certain sections where appropriate for that section / heat. 20m wide x 26.2m long. VIDEO & FLASH PHOTOGAPHY: No video recording or flash photography will be permitted during the competition. There will be an official / professional photographer on duty.
