1 SUDBURY EXTENDED DAY March 2017 You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. LORING SCHOOL GRADES K THROUGH 5 March News This month, we get to say Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss and hello to more sunshine and longer days!!! We have lots of St. Patrick s Day crafts as well as some crafts to get the birds to come back and some special science experiments. We also have three Days this month! Our first is an on site day where we will enjoy Superhero Our second Early Release day will be the Loring Science Fair night, March 15 th. Please see the details below. The last we will enjoy a traveling program called World of Robotics. We will also have a new set of Clubs starting the second week of March. Some options will be the Coloring Club, Printing Club, Card Games Club and Drama Club. We will host them on Tuesdays this month. Loring Science Fair Night On March 15 th, Loring will hold its annual Science Fair night. This means that SED has to move for the afternoon. We will be heading to the Maynard Fine Arts Theatre, thenw e will dismiss the children from the Curtis Middle School. We will travel there after the movies. We will be seeing Moana at the theatre. We will NOT be at the middle school until after 5:15 p.m. Please let us know if your child will NOT be attending. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at Loringsed@gmail.com. I check the daily! - Dr. Seuss Dates to Remember March 8 th, 2017 Superhero All children on site! March 15 th, 2017 Trip to the Maynard Fine Arts Theatre. All children will be traveling. Pick up at the Curtis Middle School! March 29 th World of Robotics Show. All children on site! Student Evaluations This month, we will be handing out a Student Evaluation for each child who attends Loring Sudbury Extended Day. The teachers have been very busy gathering information and filling out everyone s evaluation. We will hand you all two forms at the sign out table, one for you to keep and one for us to put into your child s file, which you will sign. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Loring School Rules The Loring School does not want the children walking through the school after school hours. If your child forgets his/her homework, they CANNOT go back unto their classroom or locker to grab it. We also cannot allow any adults into the building as well after school hours. The also goes for the children s snow pants and boots. We will try to remind the children when they first get to SED if they have everything!
