1 21 TIDC PERFORMING ARTS STUDIO Issue 5 /2017 TIDC Performing arts studio Term 3 Newsletter Sep 2017 Making dreams a reality.. Term 3-Sep Term 3 is flying by and progressing well as we work towards our end of year concerts and examinations. Congratulations to the students that completed their August Examinations. We welcome to our TIDC family the many new students and their families that have joined us over the last few months. Many plans are underway for 2018 already. Including plans for both VET & SACE courses to run at TIDC next year including Certificate 2-4 and Assistant Teacher and Teacher Training. Nathan Stafford and Holly Abbott were also lucky enough to perform and promote their up and coming shows, Shrek and Annie at the Adelaide Theatre Guide Awards. CONGRATULATIONS: Many of the productions our teachers and students have been involved in over the last year were nominated for Adelaide Theatre Guide Awards. Well done to all! Congratulations to our teacher Kerry Hauber. Two of the shows she has worked on this year took out Best Ensemble and Best Show. Three of our students were also involved in the winner of the Best Youth Musical: Erynn Anderson, Sascha Czuchwicki and Mackenzie Neylon.

Congratulations to Caterina & Rosa Lavia and Madee Arizza who competed in the National ATOD Dance Scholarships in Sydney! Also big congratulations to all our students that performed in Australian Classical Youth Ballet productions over the last few months. Zoe & Victoria Perkas have been accepted into Brent Street full time course for Congratulations! Congratulations to our many teachers and students who have successfully auditioned for Shrek the Musical Jan 2018 and to Miss Alana who will direct Elf Jnr in December So very proud of our wonderful performers at the Royal Adelaide Show. Doing TIDC proud. Don't miss some of our talented performers involved in some magical, fun, entertaining shows. Congratulations to our Gen Z Pop Group making their debut in the new Golden North stage. Nathan, Alyssa, Lily, Zali, & Taylor Tran along with a lot of hard work from the wonderful Thomas Phillips. Well done Caitlin McNamara for a spot in the Ministry of Dance star program. Also to Emily Papalia who also attended the Jason Coleman workshop and received an invitation to his Ministry of Dance Star workshops for interstate students. Well done to you both! Tanysha Sarti and Caitlin McNamara auditioned and were accepted into Transit Dance Fulltime Performing Arts Course. Congratulations to you both! Congratulations to all involved in Tinker Tailor Toy Shop show at the Goyder Pavilion - Alyssa H, Alessia C, Jaxon, Jordan, Jasmin, Shenayde, Teagan, Doug and myself. At this stage everyone should have FULL CORRECT UNIFORM New warm long-line jacket now available Props are an important part of dance. Please ask your class organizer what you can do to help for your age group. All props borrowed for competitions need to be returned as soon as possible. SCHOOL UNIFORM & GROOMING: Grooming is an important part of our school image. Please help and encourage your children in this manner to show a pride in themselves and their dance studio. If you have difficulties at any time please feel free to approach me. Students will be refused tuition if fees are not paid up or arrangements made. There will be NO SOLO LESSONS for those with outstanding fees unless arrangements are made. Only term fees are accepted but these can be paid in instalments if you are having difficulty.
