3 What s New at Planet Ballroom REMINDER Planet Ballroom will be Closed over Christmas The Studio will be closed from Tuesday 19th December Sunday 21st January 2018 All Classes will resume Monday 22 nd January. Premium Client Card Cost $25 Per Year Benefits 1. Free Membership into Redlands Dance and Music Performance Association - RDAMPA includes discounted RDAMPA Social Dance Events, RDAMPA Master Class Dance Courses and other RDAMPA Activities. 2. Access to our Premium Members website page at which includes Dance Routines (printable), Videos and so much more. 3. Discounted Classes As a Premium Member you will be still entitled to our classes for 1 offer. 4. 4 Pro/Am 2017/2018 Medal Exam Days After Planet Ballroom s great success at this years 2017 Australian Pro/Am Competition in Sydney. Taking out Top Studio and Top Teacher for the past 2 years we would like to congratulate the following students, as it is without you the day wouldn t have been so successful. Congratulations Lindsay 11 1 st, 1 2 nd Susan 1-2 nd dancing with Brett Susan 2 1 st, 3-2 nd Tiana 4 1 st, 2 2 nd Kaelyn 2 1 st, 1 2 nd, 3 3 rd Ivy 4 2 nd, 1-3 rd, 1 4 th Eli 3 1 st Ian and Pauline also danced at the East Coast National Championships on the Sunday in Sydney. National Champions again this year in Modern and New Vogue also receiving 2 2 nd, 2 3 rd,3 4 th, 1 6 th and ranked 9 th in the Open New Vogue. What a fantastic result for Planet Ballroom and its amazing talented students Pro/Am 2018 The ADS presents The 2018 Queensland Challenge Cup 17 th March Brisbane Table Tennis Club, 83 Green Terrace, Windsor This is Planet Ballroom s next Pro/Am Competition so make sure you save the date. We will be taking the whole studio to this event. A great opportunity to get out on the dance floor with your Coaches in the studio. Speak to Kylie if your are interested in Pro/Am, loads of fun, great times and a personal achievement to you as a dancer to get out on the competition floor. On the day of your Exam Make sure you look at the Program of Events to see when you will be dancing. You will be required to be seated in the Marshaling area 3 events before you are on. Please remain seated until your Teacher comes to take you onto the floor. Attire: Neat and Tidy Girls Skirt/top or dress, Dance shoes or similar Boys Black pants, shirt and tie, Black dance shoes or similar Hip Hop candidates will dance as a group with their Teacher if required. Each candidate will be Examined Individually. (for example: if the group has 3 members they will dance 3 times). We will again have our official Videographer and Photographer there on the day Paul Preece. Your Personal DVD s are produced by Haywal Productions. $30 (includes all dance Exams on the Day) Family Discount 2-3 members $45 Please pre-order your DVD with Kylie. Planet Ballroom congratulates David Hoskin on passing his Adjudicators Exam in Street Latin. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Social Dancing is a great way to socialize, have fun and learn new dances. Planet Ballroom prides itself in providing great dance classes for you to attend. Come along and learn new dances like Sally Anne Cha Cha, Glengarry Shuffle (taught as a Progressive), Alpha Waltz, Marburg waltz Queens of Hearts Rumba and So many more. We will show you the steps and how do dance it including basic techniques and timings of the routines. Class every Monday 6pm $15 per class. 5

Andrew s years of dance experience and Professionalism is a welcomed addition to Planet Ballroom. Andrew is available for Classes, Private Lessons in Pro/Am, Medals, Bridal and Social. We look forward to a great future with Andrew as part of the Planet Ballroom Team. Just a little on Andrew! He started dancing at the age of 8 years old. Dancing with his twin sister they represented Australia at the The International in the UK as Junior World Representatives ranking 15 th. As an Amateur Competitor, Andrew was a finalist in the IDSF Asia Pacific Rising Star Standard in Singapore He also was in the Top 20 Male Dancers in the hit show So You Think You Can Dance Australia Season 1. Andrew turned Professional at the age of 28. In 2012 and 2013, Andrew took out Top Teacher and Top Studio at the Australian Pro/Am Championships and is an International Pro/Am Champion. In 2013 at the National Capital Dancesport Championship, Andrew made the Professional New Vogue Final. Andrew was also a Guest Teacher on the TV Show The Bachelor Australia Season 1 in For Lessons with Andrew please see Kylie. He starts on Monday 22 nd January Happy dancing! 6
