3 DONATIONS of Easter eggs are now being sought for our wonderful Easter Hampers!! We would kindly ask that everyone donate an egg of your choice so we can have loads of prizes to raffle. Our raffle will be drawn at Club Night on FRIDAY 22ND MARCH and raffle tickets will be given out shortly to each family to sell. Please remember that all of the profits go straight back to our kids!! So, if you could please start bringing in your eggs now, than that would be terrific!! We have submitted the following dates to Bunnings Villawood & are just awaiting confirmation of our designated dates. An incredible effort by all those that attended! A special congratulations to our six Finalists who made it through to the Finals to be held on 9th March Liam D (50 Free), Logan (50 Fly), Kayla (50 Free & 50 Breast), Elise (50 Breast), Daniel P (50 Fly) and Katarina (50 Free & 50 Breast). Well done and Good Luck for the Finals!! Merrylands SwimFest 9th February 2013 WOW!! What a day!! The annual SwimFest, once again, proved to be a very enjoyable and successful meet for McCredie Park. We had 32 fantastic swimmers competing with some of our junior members this being their first time competing in a Long Course Pool!! We finished the day in 1st Place with points our nearest rival was Royal Aquatics on 418 points. Both our female & male teams topped the pointscore and McCredie Park also topped the overall Medal Count with our Medal Tally for the day being 14 Gold, 10 Silver & 10 Bronze!! A MASSIVE congratulations to all those who competed and to all the parents & friends who came along to cheer the kids on!! YOU ARE SUPERSTARS!!

Camden Carnival 10th February 2013 Another great day was had by our Team of 9 swimmers at the Camden Carnival. Terrific results and some fantastic PB s! Congratulations to Christelle, Olivia, Matthew, Bianca, Jessie, Dylan, Annabelle, Benjamin and Nicholas. Great effort Team! NSW Metropolitan Championships 16th & 17th February 2013 Our team of 7 representatives from McCredie Park shook the waters at SOPAC with some explosive swimming and great individual results. Congratulations to Liam D, Dale, Kayla, Jean Pierre, Elise, Ryan and Katarina. You did the Team very, very proud!! Ripples St Marys LC Qualifying Meet 24th February 2013 The weather was kind to us and the day was picture perfect for our amazing Team of 22 swimmers! Another day full of PB s and medals 10 GOLD, 8 SILVER & 10 BRONZE IN TOTAL!! Well done to Dale ( 3 Gold & 3 Silver), Emily (2 Gold, 1 Silver & 1 Bronze), Kayla (1 Bronze), JP ( 1 Gold, 2 Silver & 1 Bronze), Maddison J (1 Bronze), Alyce ( 1 Gold & 1 Silver), Katarina (1 Bronze). A special congratulations goes out to our Junior Medal winners Lachlan (1 Gold), Anthony (1 Silver & 1 Bronze), Lexy ( 2 Bronze), Cooper ( 2 Gold). AND a special well done to Todd for being our NUMBER 1 motivator & cheer leader!!! GREAT EFFORT EVERYONE!! * A special thank you goes out to all of our Coaches for attending our Meets!!

6 MCCREDIE PARK S RECIPE OF THE MONTH FROM THE FOWLER FAMILY HOT SALMON PUFFS WHAT YOU WILL NEED.. 2 sheets puff pastry thawed 220g can red salmon drained 4 shallots finely chopped 1/3 cup cream WHAT TO DO.. Place salmon, shallots & cream in a saucepan stirring over low heat until thickened. Season with pepper & stand until cool (put in fridge to speed cooling) Cut each sheet of pasty into quarters & evenly distribute the mixture in middle. Fold into triangles, firmly sealing edges with a fork and sprinkle with water Place triangles on a lined baking tray & bake in a 180 degrees oven until nicely browned. TECHNICAL TIP OF THE MONTH Freestyle Practice Pulling Straight Back As your hands enter the water, your fingertips (with a flat palm) should immediately begin pointing straight down. Focus on pulling straight back as you roll your shoulder or take a breath. Your hands should not cross over your center line at any point in the stroke.
