Thank you Rotary and Rotary Club president, Judge Michael Davis for supporting our district. PHS Wildcat Band The PHS Wildcat Band performed at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest on Friday, April 20th where they earned an "Excellent" rating in both concert and sight reading. The band then traveled to San Antonio to perform in the Bluebonnet Classic Band Festival. The band earned a "Superior" rating and outstanding soloist medals were awarded to Isaac Fulgham and BreAnna Donnell. The band then enjoyed a day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, and on Sunday the band saw the sights of downtown San Antonio. Palestine Rotary Academic Olympics A.M. Story students help keep Palestine clean Thank you to the 200 A.M. Story Intermediate students who helped with the Keep Palestine Main Street Clean Project on Saturday, April 20th. Chasing Greatness was the motto for the Wildcat Soccer Team this season. Palestine fans came out in droves to Birkelbach Field in Georgetown for the final game of the UIL 4A State Soccer Championships on Friday, April 20th where the Wildcats came just short of winning their 2nd state championship in three years. Congratulations to the San Elizario Eagles on winning the 2018 State Soccer Championship with a score of 1, Palestine 0. The Wildcats and the coaching staff would like to thank everyone for supporting Wildcat Soccer in 2018, and want to let their everyone Wildcat Soccer 2018 Chasing Greatness know they are already working toward the 2019 Soccer State Championships. GO WILDCATS!

2 P a ge 2 Wildcat Weekly V olume 6: I ss u e 25 Go Wildcats Athletic Director: Robby Clark Palestine Athletics Serena Coker receives Academic All-State Honors Serena Coker was named to the Texas High School Coaches' Association's Elite Academic All-State Team for Girls Tennis. The THSCA Academic All-State Teams recognize high school athletes who excel in the following categories: GPA, class rank and ACT/SAT scores. The Elite Team is the top status and only a select few are named to this team as a player must have near perfect scores in each of the three categories. We will either play Lorena/China Spring next weekend depending on how seeding works out with their district. The Wildcats will play a warm-up game in Kilgore at Driller Park (2100 S Commerce St, Kilgore, TX 75662) on Saturday, April 28th at 1:00 pm.

For junior high students this was the first time to compete at this level in 16 years and students scored a 3 on stage and a 3 in the sightreading room. Good job! Sixth Grade Fish Camp. Art Showcase
