2 Other Important Information: *Monday Make-up Day: December 18 th is our next Monday Make-up Day! Students will be released at 1:10pm to go to their classes and talk to teachers regarding missing assignments, grades, etc., if needed. Releasing students at this time should also allow our bus students an opportunity to meet with teachers before catching their buses. Buses will run on their regular Monday schedule. If you have questions regarding Monday Make-up Days, please contact the school at *Attendance Information: Parents -- Please be reminded that parents can only excuse 1 st and 3 rd period tardies. Tardies between classes cannot be excused. Parents can only excuse a total of five tardies per term. Also, please understand that if your student is marked absent or tardy by mistake, they need to visit with the teacher to have it removed or changed. The attendance office cannot remove or change an attendance mark a teacher gives a student, only the teacher can do that. The attendance office can only excuse an absence but cannot change or remove an absence. As always, please contact Mrs. Davis in our attendance office if you have questions or concerns. *Mapleton Youth City Council: Applications for Mapleton Youth City Council are now in the front office and due to Mapleton City Office on Thursday, January 11 th by 5:00 pm. Students who are interested should pick-up applications and begin the process as soon as possible. *Accessing Student Grades and Report Cards: 1 st Term grades are posted and we want to be sure you can access your student s grades. Here are three ways to access those grades and the report card.
3 1. Parents can log into your existing SIS/Aspire account: 2. Students can go to lab C207 (Mrs. Richins) to print a report card. 3. If you need an official report card for an insurance company, etc. parents or students can request one in the counseling office. If you have never set up an SIS/Aspire parent account here is how to create one so you can access your student s grades any time of day, all year long. 1. Go to the SIS online page: 2. Request a User Name 3. Enter Student ID (your student s lunch number) and Birthday 4. Follow instructions from here. There is also a way to forgotten passwords. UNITED WAY SUB FOR SANTA: United Way is reaching out to all the local schools to encourage anyone who is need of help this holiday season to apply to their program. We know there are many families in need and United Way would love the opportunity to help those in need throughout the county. Please call or print out the flyer to start the process of applying.
